As I won't post on week-end, here is a second round for today

Round 2 : First casualty

Spoiler Alert!

Luke starts the round by trying to destroy the super droid, but this thing is heavilly armored !




The super droid is too focused on defending to hit back, and Luke, being the jedi he is, dodges all the blaster shoots

Near the cockpit, the battle droid takes heigth on Han Solo and shoots him on the back, but the smuggler is loved by lady luck and the shoot misses.




Leia doesn't let Han solo so exposed to danger and immediatly shutdown the droid,

allowing Han Solo to run forward




All was going well for the falcon's crew when suddently, Luke feels a disturbance in the force, that leaves him momentally stunned. The super droid doesn't miss the opportunity and strikes viciously at the jedi, drooping him on the ground

Han Solo hears his friend's cry of pain, but he is unable to help him as he suddently finds himself surrounded by battle droids ! He manages to stay unscathed




Han Solo is busy, but Chewy is not ! Chewbacca unleashes his fury after seeing the body of Luke lying on the floor and quickly smash the super droid to pieces !




Hearing the wookie's rage, the imperial commandos decide it would be safer to securize the entrace of the room they breached in. They take position to fire easilly at the door.

Sorry for the wait, yesterday was holiday in France. Here is your daily update :


Round 3 - Counter attack

Spoiler Alert!

Two battle droids surround Han solo, while the last one gards the entrance of the breached room. But the smuggler is swift and dodge every blast.




Again, Leia can't stand to see Han under fire and cover him. Her first shoot destroys a droid, while Han Solo move forward.

Her second shoot sees the demise of yet another droid. Han Solo flatten himself against the wall near the door, readying himself to to enter.




Halas, Han Solo was not hidden this well as one of the emperial commando see him and manage to shoot him for a wound




Chewbacca is still furious and quickly make a pile of scrap of the last droid blocking the way.




Doing that exposes him to the fire of the commandos, who wound him three times




Approaching in chewy's back, unseen, is C-3PO

Round 4 : Booom !

Spoiler Alert!

C-3PO takes initiative and passes chewbacca, running right into a group of commandos. He is ready to give up its electronics life for its masters !

The dice roll... and roll... and finally ...

Just what is needed ! The result is an horrid mess. On of the commando is nonetheless saved by his armor




But the commandos are very well trained warrior, and they don't lose time. They take back position and shoot at chewy, gravely wounding him




At the brink of death, chewy valiantly charge the emperial troops ! His first strike make one fall

His second swing is violent enough to tear a man in two (all skulls !), but the commando is miraculously protected by his armor (19)




Two commandos quickly retaliate and put an end to the wookie's agonizing

while the last one again targets Han Solo. This time, Han is not took by surprise and dodge.




Hearing the cry of pain of chewbacca, he charges to his help, albeit too late to save him. A formidable strike is once more deviated by the sturdy armor of the commando (20)




The last squad of commando quietly target the new threat, and wound him twice.



At the end of this round, thesituation is grim for the falcon's crew ! All that's left is Han Solo with one life left only, and Princess Leia, while the emperial forces still have a full commando squads and Darth maul !

Round 5 : Only one shall remain

Spoiler Alert!

Han Solo make a feint and rush on the commando on the other side of the room. The armor of the emperial soldier can't protect him this time




Despite not having heigth advantage anymore, the two last commandos fire on Solo's back and finally bring him down...




Leia yells while busting into the room, but seing Han Solo on the ground shake her and she is unable to aim true.




She also has trouble dodging the fire, and one of the commandos manage to wound her.




The pain of the wound make her snap out of her grieving. Perhaps it is not to late to save Han ! But first, she must kill the remaining emperial first. With a renewed might, she take the height ground, evading a opportunity strike and proceed to coldly eliminate the two commandos !

That's Leia - Princess Leia - for you !



The emperial force lose a turn on the commandos. Now, only Leia and Darth Maul remains !!

Round 6, final : Duel

Spoiler Alert!

Darth Maul jumps on Leia and wounds her, leaving her so near death !




Leia try to retaliate,

but the sith has the force to help him, and a mind trick makes Leia shoot at nothing, while Darth Maul hide behind a pillar




Only to come back at the Princess, but this time, Leia dodge the strike ! Even if she cannot use it as well as her brother, the force is strong with her, too !




And Darth Maul mind trick cannot resist Leia determination, and soon the sith is slained.




The falcon's crew win this battle by a whisker ! Only Leia is standing, with only one life left !



The princess hurry to give first aid to Han Solo


who in turn go to chewy's help


while the princess goes help her brother


Later, Luke takes the time to repair C-3PO


The crew is complete again, and the Falcon quickly leave this dangerous place !

It was super fun playing in this Millenium Falcon maps, kudos to DanieLoche for imagining it ! Really giving a skirmish feel ! Too bad I cannot +rep him for now !


I hope you enjoy those report, because the next one will be big ! It will follow on The undead plague, with a bigger map, more players (4) and bigger armies (2 armies of around 500 points per player, for a grand total 4840 points of figures !)

Battle report of a game of the French Heroscape Tournament 2013, between DanieLoche and Tandros

DanieLoche, previous year's champion, was confident. His army was :
4x Cathars spearmen

Facing him, Tandros, the challenger, played :

The game was played on Ruins at Fort McAda

Round 1

Dan wins initiative and opens the game with spearmen




Tandros moves the cultists forward




Kira Jax makes a move, to be ready.




Tandros takes high ground with a cultist, mobe another toward Lodin glyph, and makes two others move from the start zone




Dan is the first to attack. A first spearman attacks the cultist on high ground but fails

Two others try to kill the cultist near the Lodin glyph, without more success.

Dan is not happy !



Tandros moves its range component with Kaemon Awa. The first death of the game is a spearman.

Round 2



Dan begins a move toward the glyph of Holdir

And takes the Lodin glyph, but is still unable to kill the cultist near.




Tandros fortify its position with Raelin, perfectly protected




Dan takes the Holdir glyph

and try once more to kill the same cultist... to no avail !




Tandros' cultists move forward.




Dan's Kaemon Awa advance and finally kills a cultists !




Tandros' Kaemon try to retaliate but fails to wound the opponent's samurai





Round 3



Dan's KAemon Awa takes the treasure glyph near :

and shoot at his double, but misses




Samurai's duel ! Dan's one takes a wound



Dan take advantage of the fact that Tandros seems focused on Kaemon to attack with his spearmen. A cultist falls,

and another cultists bites the dust.

Tandros's KAemon takes a wound,





Tandros' samurai is furious and kills its double ! Dan seems depressed




Because he loses a turn !

The last year's champion fears for his title !



Tandros move the cultists forward and free the glyph of Lodin

Round 4



Tandros has initiative. Fearing the braced fear, Kaemon awa doesn't take the treasure glyph, but kill the spearman protecting it.




Dan's Kira JAx shoot at Raelin, but misses




Kaemon plays one more turn, and Kira Jax is dead.




Dan moves hos spearmen forward. One can attack Raelin, but she is protected by the wall. Another protect the treasur glyph




It is not KAemon that plays, but Sharwin. She try to take down the spearman attacking Raelin but didn't manage to pierce his sturdy armor




The spearmen are now two to tattack Raelin, but still don't manage a wound. Another attack Kaemon, to no avail. The fourth finally give a kill to Dan, killing a cultist on high ground.

Round 5



Dan gets initiative. He finally puts 2 wounds on Raelin.





Bad luck turn for Tandros... Two cultist falls to the same braced spear near Raelin

while a third do the same near Lodin

Only the fourth manages to save the honor by killing a cathar




And just after that, the spearmen are one fire ! Raelin dies, the last cultist falls, and Kaemon takes 2 wounds !!!

Dan breaths more easilly now



Kaemon Awa try to resists, and kills a cathar, without taking the treasure glyph to not be attacked from high ground (good glyph protection from Dan)




Sharwin is attacked and wounded twice

while another takes back the lodin glyph.




Tandros' Kaemon is heavilly wounded and fails his shoots

Round 6



Sharwin takes distance to fires at a cathar at maximum range, but misses




She defends herself better that she attacks, counterstriking a cathar. But in the center of the map, Kaemon Awa finally falls.




Tandros loses a turn.



Dan takes the opportunity to kill Siiv,

Takes back the Holdir glyph

and moves forward fresh cathar




Sharwin won't die alone ! She avenge Siiv




She defends against a spearman attack

while others spearmen advance





Round 7



Dan has the initiative and move Raymon




Sharwin ready herself to figth to the last breath. She takes high ground and fire at the approaching count




But soon, she is surrounded by the cathars, and takes another wound




She fight dearly and kill a cather




The count is cautious, and prefer taking the +1 attack treasure glyph




But while he take the treasure, Sharwin launch a fireball at him and wounds him twice

Dan was sure to win, but Sharwin seems decided to prove him wrong !


Round 8



Tandros gets initiative, and Sharwin wound the count once more ! He is at the gate of death.




In a rush of despair, the count jumps on the eladrin and finally stun her down



Dan's Victory



The surviving spearmen gather around their chief. They judge Sharwin guilty of witchcraft and behead her.

I made so mistakes at this game... (I should stop hopping something good from Kira jax at tournaments... x) ) but I found the long way to reach Raelin at the right moment, for the win !

Time for a new report, and a long time announced one ! This battle is the follow-up of one of my previous report, The undead plague

To refresh your memory, at the end of this previous game, the vampires won. Myrddin and Ana even were changed to thrall by Nicholas.

Some months after the disaster that lead to the anihilation of the troup sent to destroy the vampires, the situation is dire ! Cautious at first, the vampires gained in strenght and now don't even try to hide themselves. They claimed the region as their own. The most lucky of the inhabitant managed to flee, while most of them now serve their new master as undead.
The surrounding lords began to fear for their lifes, and decided to gather a large army to crush the force of the night once and for all. What a sight ! The armors shine under the sun. Many soldiers and knights gathered. The clergy managed to summon glorious angels. Some nearby dwarves and wildling answered the call. Even a giant joined the army. The army left with lots of joy and courage !
Soon, the moral started to decline, thought. The more the army marched toward the heart of the region, the more heavy their heart felt. Heavy dark clouds were always blocking the sun. The farms they passed were ruined, left to decay slowly. But the worse was that they were not empty. Men, women, even children were all dead... but still moving, and attacked furiously, without any care, at sight. The more the army advanced, the more those encounter happened, and the more casualties it suffered. When the army arrived at the doors of the castle the vampire took refuge to, it was less numerous, and less gleaming !
The castle lost its previous glory. The doors were opened, without men to move them. Seeing the end of their fight so near, the army tightened its ranks and prepared for the last assault !

On the other side of the walls, a red eye gleam of joy at the sight of the army poor state... Fresh flesh nearby !



This game was played with 4 players, each controling 2 armies. For each order marker, each player makes a turn with his first army, then each player makes a turn with his second army.

Mina Harker came to avenge her mentor, Van Nessing. She was bitten by a vampire in the past, but Van Nessing managed to destroy him, saving her. Still, this event left some strange marks on her. Her speed and strenght greatly increased, but she sometime have a hard time restraining violent pulsions that threaten her sanity.

Divine Mission (same power as Van Nessing)
After revealing an order marker on Mina Harker's Army Card, after taking Mina Harker's turn, you may reveal an "X" order marker that is on Mina Harker's Army Card and take another turn with Mina Harker. During this additional turn, Mina Harker adds 2 to his normal attack against Undead figures.

Eternal Hatred (Same power as Marcu Esenwein)
After revealing an order marker on this card, you must roll the 20-sided die. If you rol a 17 or higher, choose an opponent. That opponent will now control Mina Harker for the remainder of your turn (rest of the power)

The intend is that Mina can take 2 turns per order marker, and then a third if revealing the X order marker. If her hybrid blood is too strong for her however, she won't be able to take multiple turn, because her temporay controller did not reveal any marker on her



Myrddin Thrall is the poor Myrddin, previously changed into a thrall. His body is still loaded with his mystical energy, but his soul will reward whoever put him to peace.

Final Blessing
If an opponent Hero kills Ana Thrall, this Hero owner can remove two wounds from this hero card.

In the ruins of thze chapel, on the altar, a holy relic resisted the profanation of the undead (treasur Glyphe of Pellor, Atk +2 against undead)
From the demoniac altar she used to summon her army, the vampire Sonya is chanting dark curses. Thankfully, the priests gave the general of the army of men relics to protect themselves and their men. (Each army of the good have a "holy relic" to put on one of their hero. As long as the hero of an army has that relic, Sonya cannot choose this army to inflict a wound with the glyph of Wannok she has under her feet)

The resident of the castle are on alert !
Cyprien and his ghosts are in the chapel (the lava tiles are some tiles of the chapel that still remain on the roof) (Cyprien didn't begin the game on the chapel roof. No figure can go there in this game)

Sonya, surrounded by her demoniac army, stands near the impious altar

Nicholas and his zombies are in the graveyard

The huge skeleton hound of Iskra are patrolling the courtyard, whereas she stands with her skeleton warrior on the rampart

The time for the assault is drawing near. A lot of men will lose their life today. May their sacrifice don't be in vain !

first round

I probably won't ost each round as a whole, because with 8 armies, each round is 24 turns, it is quite long !

My armies are on the side of the vampire, so reference to left or right flank are from the inside of the castle point of view.

Round 1

JiPi win initiative

Alastair and his warrior begin the war


With a thundering noise, the templars charge inside the castle and take a hold in the courtyard


A skull demon and two death knight move forward to intercept them


The zombies also move forward the last castle entrace not yet attacked


On the other side, the highland warrior get the help of dwarves, lead by Ulfrid


At the center gate, comte Raymond move to the wall


Suddently, in the courtyard, the Marden Hounds smell the intruders and rush to protect each gate.
A Highland warrior is killed by the toxic emanation of a Hound

While the templar bear with it.

The third hound takes position to protect the zombies


On the left flank, the solitary Hound looks like it will not be enough to contain the assault, so the Phantom Knight come to help


End of turn 1

Will that be enough ? Alastair use his broadsword and cut the hound in two,

then rush further into the court (first wound, for overextend attack)

His example exalt his mens. They follow him, crying thei lungs out, and kill two phantom knight

On this flank, only one phantom knight is still alive (well, was it alive to start ?) to block the assault !

In the middle, sir Dupuis cannot pass throught the fight at the center gate and decide to run to the right gate (to his left)


Due to the dire situation on the left flank, I send there two Death Knights and the second Skull Demon


On the opposite flank, as the weston knight does not seem to move, the zombies move and gather in the ruins


The knights stay put, and it is the sentinels of Jandar that move. One of them fly on the rampart and destroy a skelleton (who fails it necromancy roll)


Behind the engaged templars, the spearmen wait for any chance to come through


Completly awake (again 8 moves), a new Mardden Hound run to the left flank to try to stop the invasion. His emanation cannot bend the fiery will of the men, but its claw find their mark

The Hound engaged to te templar still fail to wound anything

Another try to intoxicate a sentinel but fail. It however bites sir Dupuis


A new wave of Phantom Knight come strengthen the left flank. Another Mc Dirk falls.


End of turn 2

From the rear, Mina Harker suddently rushes forward. She move once, then one more time. She fails to wound the Hound. She feels a great fervor, and she attack the monster once more, killing it.


Two templar move around the hound, to leave place for a third that charge from the rear and slay the Hound. The gate is cleared !


My Death Knights and my Skull Demon that moved turn 1 are now a move away from the Templars and charge them. A templar falls.


As the knights of Weston still don't move, the zombies yield to their impulse and charge at them. Again all expactation, a sentinel of Jandar is slained

A zombie Hulk also move forward


The sentinels of Jandar make a wall of their body to protect the host of knights and kill the hound


Now that the middle gate is clear, the spearmen move into the courtyard and take position. The Skull Demon is wounded twice


A shadow move from the rampart and land near the templar in the rear ! Iskra is trying to attack the opponent reserve force ! But she neither is able to kill a templar nor to summon the Rechets.


From the chapel on the left, shades emerge, drawn to the soul of nearby heroes
