Re: Speaking of Power Creep...
Well, I have been thinking about this power creep idea. So far in wave 9 it sure doesnt look like we are getting any real power creep. But perhaps power enhancement would be a better term. Like how so far the Mohicans are enhancing the playability of Mittens, and therefore all the scouts.

Re: Speaking of Power Creep...
I don't think that its power creep, but there seems (to me) that the new figures (that we know about) are counters to some A+/A units.
Tul-Bak-Ra will be a good assassin to take out Raelin. He is also useful at bypassing Deathreavers and taking squads past a melee screen. The Mohicans should do well against Deathreavers and Glads/Blasts. The Repulsors (based on what I heard so far) are an anti-soulborg unit and may be good against the Majors (Q9 and Q10) and Deathreavers. We'll see what the Brawlers and other units can do. |

Re: Speaking of Power Creep...
I would agree with Rich. It seems like balance is the key word. Making the weaker units stronger, and having counters to the strong units seem to be the name of the game. Which I think is a good thing. We dont want to have the one dominant army that always win becuase the units kick everyones rear end. Rather, having many units that can be good if applied correctly. Thus building an army is just as important as playing right. Which I would think the grand majority of people would prefer.

Re: Speaking of Power Creep...
Wave 9 is going to really help "suckcreep" IMO. Brave Arrow & the Mohicans are going to bring up the usefulness of the Venocs and Fyorlag Spiders, which will, in turn, bring up Mittens and Sujoah. Tul-Bak-Ra will help out all the Marro (especially when combined with Saylind\Theracus, allowing a Marro army + Saylind\Theracus to almost take any position they want very quickly.) And, from what I've heard, the Capuans may have the ability to take Spartacus from the F grades and take him to the B- to A range.
Posts by me are rare occasions. I mostly hang around other places these days, but I come here every once in a while. |

Re: Speaking of Power Creep...
I think we all want Spartacus to be better, more worth his points.

I hope he'll at least make it to the B- Range. Otherwise I don't think the gladiator army will be tourny worthy.

Re: Speaking of Power Creep...
Yeah, I'm still a little skeptical. We'll see how everything pans out (as well as what the other 7 cards in this wave do)! Everyone thought that Redcoats would bring about the first coming of the Sacred Band, but I don't think I've really seen or read about that actually happening.
The Gladiator Heroes are likely to be much better than before, because this is what they were designed for. Spartacus in particular is so bad currently that he can only go up... Much like Wave 8, I'm simply expecting there to be a couple more viable options that weren't there before, but I don't anticipate many of the "good" armies losing their spots. Re: Speaking of Power Creep...
I'm still skeptical on the Spartacus as B+ to A range. If that happens, what's next? Dund becomes the next Q9?
Without dark, there is no light. Without bad HScape figs, there are no good ones. Dund is important, therefore |
