Karat does give me an idea:
PETRIFY UNIQUE SPELL 90 Points Start the game with 6 grey Stone Markers on this card. After revealing an Order Marker on this figure's card, instead of taking a turn, roll the 20-sided die once for each figure within 3 clear sight spaces of this figure that is not an Event Hero and does not have the Blind Warrior Special Power. If you roll 11 or higher, and the figure is a Unique Hero, place a Stone Marker on its card. If the figure is not a Unique Hero, destroy it. A figure with a Stone Marker on its card cannot move, make attacks or leaving engagement attacks, or use any special powers on its Army Card, and adds 1 die to its defense. At the end of each round, remove all Stone Markers placed by this spell from the game. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

That's closer but still too long. Crimson Bands is about 4 1/4 lines long. Bats' version is 4 3/4 lines long.

That's a good idea. Also we may want to increase the size of special power language slightly I'm also cutting some of Bats' language as it is still clear and saves space. Giving us:

What about cutting what Odysseus suggestion? That doesn't change how it works.

I don't think you can. It does change how it works. It introduces a memory factor and/or makes it so that you can continuously use it (if we still use markers), plus it would likely need a once per game modifier at that point which changes how it is played.
