Good point! That might be the easiest way to reshuffle so that Siryn can do her thing but you don't end up turn chaining with Sidekicks.

Mid-initial here. Impression so far is that his bonding could stand to be reined in a hair, since he works well with some pretty strong figures and he's a little more hands-off than I'd like right now.

Right now I'm thinking I'd like to run the last game with this tweak:

X-FACTOR ACCOMPANIMENT
After revealing an Order Marker on the Army Card of a Unique Hero you control that is a Bruiser or Investigator and taking a turn with that Hero, you may move and attack with up to three Multiple Man figures you control. If that Hero is not Jamie Madrox, all Multiple Man figures must be within 6 clear sight spaces of that Hero before moving. You may not take any additional turns with other figures you control.

Turns things down just a hair for his buddies, and gives him a slight edge when working with the Dupes, so he's more apt to get the odd OM.

Dang, this took a long time to play out. Omega Red eventually suffered death by a thousand Madroxes, though. Worth noting that Omega Red was rolling really poorly for his Life Drain (in combat for several rounds and only healed 3 wounds the whole time), but Madrox having such a low Dupes roll still felt pretty oppressive for someone without a way around it.

Unit Summary:

• Damage Done (Normal Attack): 3 wounds to Omega Red in 6 attacks (destroyed)

Batman and Robin mowed through the dupes and got at Jamie real fast in this one. Dropped him like a bad habit.

The tweak to the Dupes roll didn't strictly matter, since he rolled a 9 then a 4 before taking enough wounds to drop.

Sage & Jamie is a pretty decent combo, as it turns out. She can boost the dupes' attacks and d20 rolls, which is pretty huge. Tried the Turtles with Meggan here and they didn't have a ton of luck. Mainly just no way around on Dupes or Strong Guy's Kinetic Redirection, and they struggled to really make headway.

Didn't help that the common Multiple Men were coming up with some really solid d20 rolls for Dupes, and the TMNT ended up playing Whack-a-Mole with them until Strong Guy and the Dupes mopped them up. (Strong Guy also hit 3/3 of his d20 rolls, though he's got a substantially lower target than the Multiple Men do for Dupes)

The Turtles took out Siryn real fast, but that was really the only thing they had to feel good about here.

Madrox moved up a bit early on, but didn't really get involved until the Investigators were trying to corral Raph in the endgame.

** Idea being to give him a little more incentive to get the odd OM, and to limit his bonding just a hair, since it did feel on the strong side; or more accurately, he pairs well with some already really strong figures, so pushing to get a little more involved himself feels like a sensible thing to do **

Jamie definitely got a bit more hands-on in this one, with some early OMs to help set up the Multiple Men and then a more active role in the endgame. Giving Strong Guy a Sage-boosted pseudo-squad to bond with is still really good, though, and the X-Factor team won the day here.

THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: I think we need to go down to activating two Multiple Men for the bonding. Granted, he didn't go up against auto-wounders here, which would be a big Achilles Heel for him, but he's feeling pretty intimidating right now.

Given where the other X-Factor characters are in terms of points (and the need to draft a bunch of common Multiple Men with him), I'd like to keep him pretty cheap, so my first instinct is just to move him forward with the bonding reduced to two figures.

I like his overall playstyle here, especially with the tweaks. Just overachieving a bit, so my plan is to move forward like so:

MADROX PRIME
You may draft Jamie Madrox into an army with one or more Common Jamie Madrox figures.

X-FACTOR ACCOMPANIMENT
