Re: The Book of Ash Williams (Breathing)
I was thinking of a power that somehow let Ash keep attacking, off a d20 roll or something, but if he rolled a 2 or lower an opponent can choose a figure in your army to take temporary control of. Something along those lines, and the chosen figure has the species of Demon and Class of Deadite instead of what’s written on its card.
Not sure how to regain control of the figure though. The figure could also be a neutral figure somehow as well that does a move and attack at the end of the round. That would be right up Ash’s alley and represent the Deadites at the same time. |

Re: The Book of Ash Williams (Breathing)
This might need to be simplified a bit.
EVIL DEAD After attacking, if you control at least one other figure, you may roll the twenty-sided die. If you roll 7 or higher, you may attack again. If you roll 2 or less, choose an opponent and give a figure you control to that opponent with an Evil Dead marker on its card. A card with an Evil Dead marker has the species of Demon and class of Deadite instead of what is on its card. If an enemy figure with an Evil Dead marker on its card would be destroyed, instead remove all markers from the card and take control of that figure. |

Re: The Book of Ash Williams (Breathing)
I like that direction. Would need refined as you said, but that’s sort of what I was envisioning. Something where you can push your luck like Ash would for the greater good or to show off, get cocky and arrogant, and it can potentially end up making the situation worse. In his attempt to undo what he made worse, he may be attempted to push his luck again to kill the Deadite and free his ally. His allies suffering from his mistake is also quite fitting.

Re: The Book of Ash Williams (Breathing)
We can always turn it into 2 powers, including the defense reduction for undead etc. that’s currently in the SP. Otherwise, if we can make it 1 power and streamline it enough, it may leave enough room for an added Boomstick Special Attack like johnny was hoping for. We’ll have to play with the wording and the mechanics to see what’s doable.

Re: The Book of Ash Williams (Breathing)
That’s one thing I plan to change when I write up a refined version(when I’m not at work on my phone). The opponent should get to choose. That makes more thematic sense anyways. Deadites use Ash’s loved ones against him, dead or alive. So I’m thinking the opponent can choose any other figure in Ash’s army.

Might need to make it a Unique Hero too.

So this is what I was thinking:

Re: The Book of Ash Williams (Breathing)
That looks like a Ash card to me. Boom Stick, Chainsaw hand, Book of Necronomicon, & fights undead pretty much are the key theme notes I know him for. I recall the bit about not remembering the phrase correctly, not sure how to reflect that on a card though. If you there is space for a 4th minor negative power, maybe something that negatively effects your initiative roll the more you rely on Ash to win the game for you. So the larger the responsibility he's given, the more likely he's going to forget something and cause your opponent to get to go first.
UNFOCUSED When rolling for initiative, subtract 2 from your roll for each Order Marker placed on this card. |

Re: The Book of Ash Williams (Breathing)
Necronomicon is a fun idea.
The first idea that comes to mind is that when figures are destroyed they can come back as Deadites (maybe with less Life) but which side they return to is random. Would be really cool if we had some sort of AI rules to run them. |

Re: The Book of Ash Williams (Breathing)
Anything that involves giving a figure to your opponent needs to be restricted to unique/uncommon cards, due to card mechanics.
I feel like the boomstick can just be his normal attack, saving space on the card, and you can put some of the Ash-specific word-flubbing stuff on Ash's card instead of on the Necronomicon. The Boomstick just a gun, after all. As far as the Necronomicon goes, there seem to be two basic things going on:

Re: The Book of Ash Williams (Breathing)
Yeah I'm not against leaving it as a normal attack and just putting something else to help tie into the Necronomicon or just Ash's tendency to mess something up as the 3rd power. As long as there's a means for him to get it right or something I don't know. Wouldn't want a solely negative power there.
