I prefer to avoid cutting stuff off if I can get the same or similar effect w/ a simple re-paint or subtle modding. But that Night Thrasher (I think that that is who that was) could work too. If you try it out, I'd love to see how it turns out

This is my first design submission here. I would love some opinions and thoughts please. I know that Omega Red has been done before and that both LordEsenwienIV and GamerHusband have playtested him. I'm hoping that even if he never gets a second design place like Superman or Hulk have at the very least I will get a better custom out of him. So please help me out by sharing thoughts and ideas.

Little is known about the past of Arkady Rossovich except that he was a serial killer born in Russia. He was captured by the Interpol agent Sean Cassidy and turned over to the KGB, which wanted to experiment and attempt to create a super soldier similar to Captain America. Omega Red is the end result.
In another version of Omega Red's past, Arkady was a Soviet soldier stationed in a small Siberian town. He was a murderer; his crimes easily discoverable due to the town's small size and limited number of potential victims. He was caught by his fellow soldiers and executed without trial via a gunshot to the back of the head. His superiors are astonished when Arkady survives the execution, and recommend him for the aforementioned Soviet super soldier project, a brutal process; it is suggested that Arkady survives solely due to his evil and mean nature. He becomes an operative for Soviet intelligence and the KGB.
The Soviet government implanted a retractable carbonadium tentacle within each of Omega Red's arms. Carbonadium was the Soviets' attempt to recreate the artificial alloy known as adamantium. It is a more malleable form of adamantium. He uses them as weapons and as grappling appendages. He is able to a wrap a victim in his coils to literally drain them of their "life" energy. This vampiric tendency is essential to Omega Red's survival; the carbonadium implants, while great offensive weapons, slowly poisoned him and he was required to regularly drain the life energy of a person, or perhaps take small amounts from larger numbers of individuals, in order to temporarily sustain his immune system. In order to stabilize his condition, Omega Red requires the "Carbonadium Synthesizer," a device that was stolen by Wolverine, Maverick, and Sabretooth during their final mission together as "Team X" and attempted rescue of double agent Janice Hollenbeck in the 1960s. It is because of his need for the Carbonadium Synthesizer that Omega Red has continuously sought out these three individuals over the years, believing they may know of its whereabouts. While Sabretooth and Maverick might have been aware of its location, it was eventually revealed that Wolverine actually does know where it is. (copied from Wikipedia)

CARBONADIUM SYNTHESIZER
Start the game with the Glyph of Carbonadium Synthesizer on this card. If the Glyph of Carbonadium Synthesizer is not on this card at the end of a round, place 2 Wound Markers on this card. Omega Red can only lose the Glyph of Carbonadium Synthesizer if he receives 3 or more wounds from a single attack or special power, or is destroyed.

COIL WHIP
Range 2. Attack 4.
When Omega Red attacks with Coil Whip, he may attack one additional time. If Omega Red targets the same figure for this additional attack and deals at least 1 wound with each attack, you may choose to either:

• place no wounds on the defending figure. Omega Red may remove 1 Wound Marker for each wound not placed in this manner.
• roll the 20-sided die. If you roll 5 or higher, the defending figure receives an additional wound. Figures with the Super Strength special power, Androids, and destructible objects are not affected.
  

The figure used for this unit is a Heroclix figure from the Mutations and Monsters set.
Its model number and name is #038 / Omega Red.

I've also taken the liberty of designing a complementary Glyph that comes standard with Omega Red, not unlike Captain Marvel.

Glyph of Carbonadium Synthesizer
(+1 Move/Aggression Control)

Equipment Glyph:
If this figure has the Carbonadium Synthesizer power, add 1 to this figure’s Move number. Before an opponent’s figure with the Carbonadium Synthesizer power, moves or attacks another figure, if that opponent’s figure could instead move toward or attack this figure, you must roll the 20-sided die. If you roll a 7 or higher, that opponent’s figure must move toward or attack this figure instead of any other figure this turn.

The 1st power is the glyph. Though I guess I could just make it like batman and make it a glyph for him alone. Then there would be less on the card.

I tried hard to find a way to condense Death Pheromone and Coil Whip into one ability. Maybe that will help.

And I think I recall seeing a few C3G cards with 4 powers on them. I expected that this design would be trimmed a bit. I think If something had to go it would be Death Pheromone. In the new comics Omega Red rarely uses them anymore since he slowly lost the ability to excrete them from his body and now it is an exclusive ability only his coils can achieve.

Just remember that the power sets should be a fair representation of how the character behaves - they don't have to directly represent everything he ever has or can do. Matt Helm famously puts as many powers as possible into the stats of his units, for instance.

I can easily drop Red Armor For a bump in Defense. That would trim a power fairly straightforwardly.

So this next election I plan on nominating another of my Equipment Glyphs for Batman. I was (A) wondering Which of them I should nominate and (B) wondering how many people are into the Idea of expanding Batman. I feel like whenever they get nominated, the Glyphs get a lot of 3 place votes but not a whole lot of 2nd or 1st. I just wanted to point out, that, should a Batbelt glyph get nomintated, it mill take no more than 2 weeks at most to finish, much faster than normal public designs. It would be a quick design that will be super fun to use, let me know what you think.

I'm probably a bad one to ask, because I'm all in on Spawn this time, and can't imagine my first place vote going anywhere else.

Lego, here's my quick stab at taking into account what Viegon said while still maintaining your concept and theme ... it's a bit wordy but it's nothing too crazy ... i think. If you want you can still add the "if you roll no skulls" aspect of the attack to the end of the power ... I was just trying to reduce length and complexity but you can make that call.

TRIDENT CONSTRUCT SPECIAL ATTACK
Range 3. Attack 1+Special.
Choose 3 spaces in a straight line from this Green Lantern. All figures on those spaces who are in line of sight of this Green Lantern are affected by this special attack. Add one die to this special attack for each green Battery Marker on this card and roll attack dice once for all affected figures. Affected figures roll defense dice separately. Defending figures that use any color of the Power Shield Special Power against Trident Construct Special Attack cannot ignore the attack and instead may add one shield to their defense roll.
