The Book of Animated Vines

Perhaps we just go with simply "Vine" for the class here. As their species is Plant, and their class is the type of plant they are, vine.

Updated wording thus far:

JUNGLE COVER
Plant Animations are considered to be Jungle Pieces for the purposes of all special powers and the Jungle Piece defensive bonus.

CHLOROKINESIS
Before taking a turn with a figure you control that has the Plant Animation special power, you may place up to 3 Animated Vines on empty spaces within 3 spaces of their current positions. Animated Vines cannot move or be moved in any way except by this special power. Chlorokinesis cannot be used more than once per turn.

PLANT REGROWTH 15
For the entire game, at the end of each round, you may roll the 20-sided die once for each destroyed Animated Vine on this card. If you roll 15 or higher, place that Animated Vine on any empty space adjacent to a figure you control with the Plant Animation special power, if possible.

Should Chlorokinesis have a name more like Chlorokinetic Movement? It's not the vines that have the power.

Well, these are gonna be tricky. I haven't looked at this design in a while and I appreciate a number of the changes (unique, lower defense, slower movement).

My biggest concern is that these could be very useful to pod builds, which are willing to set up shop just outside their startzone where the vines can deploy quickly. Once you've got them in position, Poison Ivy doesn't even need OMs, and can be saved for pheremone/autowound turns when your opponent gets close.

What cost would you value them at currently? I've got them pegged around 75, where would you estimate their use, all things considered?

Very hard to predict. 75 is a reasonable starting point but I wouldn't be surprised to see it rise. It's unfortunate that the price on this one is probably going to be driven by defensive pod builds with Ivy 1 in them, but that's how I see it.

Probably more incentive to drop Ivy II's cost, as I fear their value with Ivy II won't compare to their value with Ivy I, but we'll see how things pan out. I figured I'd try to have them combined with Ivy come out to be 250 points, so if we're going off Ivy I's 165, 85 points for the Vines seems within reason.
