Why not just change it to "common and squads" to get the Penguins and all future small android common heroes and squads?

You can just do this to add unique squads:

ROBOTICS MASTERY
Before taking a turn with Gizmo, you may either move up to 3 Small Androids you control that are either Common or Squad figures or place a previously destroyed Small Android you control that is either a Common or Squad figure on an empty space within 4 clear sight spaces of Gizmo.

I'm going to go with this. Otherwise I've wasted a lot of time with my initial test. Besides I like this better in case I need to change my squad to a unique squad.

With the Small restriction in place cutting out any of the existing android heroes, we could even consider dropping the squad/common restriction for the movement.

Yeah, even if we get some small android heroes eventually, it shouldn't be unbalanced to be able to move them around.

Units: Gizmo (170), Gizmo-Bots x2 (80), Mammoth and Shimmer (600) vs Captain America (C3G), Falcon, Hawkeye (150), Ant-Man Pym + Fire Ant Swarm x 4 (600)

Spoiler Alert!

Wildly thematic that he's not much of a threat on his own but he uses a bunch of minor threats to distract you so you can't get to him.

Unit Summary:

• Damage Done (Normal Attack):4W to Cappy and 3 to Falcon
• Robotics Mastery: Used early to move first squad up and then used to Respawned 5 of the bots as this was more convinient than moving up the second squad. After the First squad was eliminated it then became easier to move the second squad up together.
• Improvised Weapons:used 8 times failing 6 times and inflicting a wound to Cappy twice.
• Damage Taken: Gizmo was destroyed on OM2 in Round 8 by Falcon.

Play by Play
I slow played Mammoth and Shimmer giving one of them an OM each round to keep them close with Shimmer taking the lead hoping to get a free move with Mammoth if someone attacked her. My plan was to get Gizmo onto the high ground in the center of the map so he can order his bots around so that was the mission and so OM1&2 went to that goal with 3 going to Shimmer in round 1. Avengers won initiative in round 1 and of course Cappy went out first followed by Hawkeye sitting up to snipe at Gizmo. Gizmo didn't have his bots in place in this round but he did roll 4 skulls with height against cappy but Cappy blocked them all.

Round 2 saw Gizmo get Cappy surrounded and he used IW to draw first blood in the game. Cappy couldn't get to Gizmo due to being surrounded and though he knew killing the bots was a waste of time he had no choice so he used his shield throw attack hoping to knock out multiple bots but managed to only take out 1. After Shimmer was making her way to Hawkeye to eliminate the only real threat to Gizmo. Falcon swooped in and took out another bot with the help of Cappy's boost. Gizmo respawned a bot and failed another roll. It was obvious the Fearsome Three were focused on taking out Cappy. Hawkeye got a wound in on Gizmo.

Round 3 was lots of failed IW rolls and Cappy and Falcon killing bots only to have Gizmo respawn them. Falcon broke free finally and made his way to the high ground to meet Gizmo the next round. Shimmer never made it to Hawkeye as an initiative win by the Avenges meant that the ants found Shimmer.

Round 4 Cappy made somewhat of a breakthrough as he managed to kill 2 bots one turn and Gizmo respawned one of them before another IW fail.
Ant-man then moved two FAS next to Mammoth but failed the Poison Sting on him, however Ant-man then attacked Shimmer forcing Mammoth to take 2 LEA from the ants...both hits, mammoth then took a wound from Ant-mans attack. Shimmer didn't like that too much and since she hadn't moved she Elemental Transmutated Ant-Man into a pile of goo. Hawkeye missed and Gizmo respawned a bot by cappy and failed an IW roll.

Avenger win initiative and surround the siblings again before Cappy takes out 2 bots. Gizmo respawns one of them and tired of failing rolls takes a shot at a normal attack on cappy from height. He rolls 5 for 5 as cappy gets 1 shield and is KO'd. Gizmo get the luck returned as he blanks defending Falcons attack and takes 2 more wounds leaving him 1 away from death. Gizmo attacks Falcon hitting 4/5 vs 2/4 to lay 2 wounds on Falcon. By now the bots have caught up to Hawkeye but failed IW rolls and Hawkeye using his close quarters combat uses his auto skull to take out the first bot in wave 2 of the bots. Mammoth doubles his 3 skulls to put 6 hits on a lowly Fire Ant Swarm. What can I say...he doesn't like bugs.

Gizmo puts puts a wound on Falcon respawns a bot and hawkeye kills a bot. Falcon finaly takes out Gizmo ending his reign of bot terror.

Hawkeye kills another bot, Mammoth kills another Fire Ant Swarm and Falcon decides to do an Ant-man and attacks Shimmer forcing Mammoth to take another LEA wound from an ant to defend his sister. In the process Falcon rolls 4/4 and Mammoth rolls a mighty 1/6 and dies for his troubles. Just like with Ant-man Shimmer E.T. Falcon into toothpaste...bye-bye Falcon.

At this point we joked that the game would come down to a Fire Ant Swarm fighting a lone Gizmo bot but actually it didn't Shimmer moved and attacked Hawkeye putting a wound on him and the last remaning FAS took out the last bot and Shimmer then ET Hawkeye for another wound before he hit shimmer for 1.

Last round was a race as Shimmer won initiative and ET only managed 1 more wound on Hawkeye before he took her out.

Who won and how many wounds did they have? Hawkeye with one life left and a Fire Ant Swarm.

This one didn't go so well. Because of the last game Gizmo was rushed and took a pretty good beating before he could protect himself properly. The game was still enjoyable even though the Titan's soundly beat the Fearsome 3

Unit Summary:

• Damage Done (Normal Attack):2W to Nightwing on 1 attack
• Robotics Mastery: Used early to move squad up and then used to Respawned 1 bots
• Improvised Weapons:used 1 times and failed.
• Damage Taken: Gizmo was destroyed on OM3 in Round 2 by Raven.

Play by Play
Round 1 Gizmo was planning on taking height on the side of the map this time but the Titan's won initiative and used Titan's go and the first 2 OMs to get Starfire on top in the center early and she rolled 4 out of 5 skulss vs 2/4 shields for Gizmo giving him two wounds early.

Rest of round 1 and Round 2: The bots tried to scoury up to engage her so they could protect Gizmo but by then damage had been dealt to Nightwing and Starfire's Fury allowed her to kill off the a bot and then hit Gizmo before he could respawn one. Gizmo did manage to put two wounds on Nightwing before he Titan GO'd him with SF giving him a wound and Raven finishing him off. Shimmer moved up to engage Nightwing but did no damage.

Round 3: and initiative switch allowed Shimmer to use Elemental Transmutation in which the finished off Nightwing with OM1 and of course the X on his card. OM2 was on the bots hoping the squad could get a few wounds on Raven and the weaklings actually hit twice to give Raven 2 wounds. Starfire took out a bot and had no one else in range for her fury. Shimmer missed and Raven used Soul Self to move a wound to Mammoth.

Round 4: Starfire's fury gave her two attacks on Mammoth but she only managed 1 wound. The bots again gave Raven 2 wounds. Since they had the only multi attack and Raven was avoiding Shimmer I figured I'd need to get wounds on her faster than she could Soul Self to get rid of her. Starfire's Fury killed a bot and put two more on Mammoth and Mammoth then put a wound on Raven getting her to 4 of 5. She of course SS one back to Mammoth to bring him to 4 and her back to 3. Still it was a net of 2 on her this round but could have been worse but Mammoth wasn't able to avoid rolling blanks on turn 3

Round 5: The siblings won initiative and Mammoth wounded Raven but she SS it back to Mammoth taking him out. Without her brother to protect her Shimmer went out soon after when she failed to take out Raven and Starfire's Fury put 1, 1, and 2 wounds on Shimmer to take her out.

Round 6 was just the Titans cleaning up the last of the bots.


Who won and how many wounds did they have?Starfire with 0 wounds and Raven with 3/5 wounds

THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: This was one of the more enjoyable games I've played. The bots were annoying and screened well for Gizmo but the were weak enough to not be worrisome. I hadn't played with Mammoth and Shimmer in a while and forgot how fun they were together. Gizmo really felt like a weenie mastermind, evil genius throwing mechanical constructs around. All the changes (IW instead of attacking) worked to bring him down to reality. This made a nice little 600 point army with the two squads making the grouping 250 points.

With the constructs currently heading toward Final Editing I will be wanting to move Gizmo to the Danger Room for testing. I'll wait until the constructs have passed before proposing but wanted to give a heads up.

I'm planning on pushing him to the Danger Room with the constructs as he doesn't directly offer anything to the rest of the Fearsome team. He's designed to stand alone from them but still work with Psimon later on but that cost will be on Psimon. With that being said I don't plan on posting the other Fearsome Five ON DECK members with him. Ronin and Arkham will have access and if they want to run them together it's not an issue but just to let you know, I'm planning on retesting Jinx as she may need a bump from our extended play at home and I don't want the others to end up getting costed with her since she should fully carry the burden of her powers.

I Propose moving Gizmo into Danger Room Testing @ 170
