R1 – Goons put a marker on Nefaria. Movement
R2 – Cap/Bucky move. Eel attacks Cap and Bucky with his SA, both block it. A Goon attacks Cap it's blocked. Thor Attacks Eel with his SA, its blocked. The Goons use a marker to have 3 Goons attack Thor, doing 2 wounds. Iron Man attacks and kills a Goon. The Count uses a marker to have 3 Goons attack Thor, all are blocked.
R3 – Cap uses his SA and misses all 3 targets. Bucky kills a Goon with his SA. Eel and a Goon take out Bucky. Thor kills a Goon. Hammerhead uses his SA and attacks Cap 4 times doing 1 wound(Nefaria used a Marker and the X to add a blank on one of the attacks to keep it going). A Goon leaves engagement with Thor and attacks down on Cap and does 2 wounds. Thor kills the last Goon. Nefaria attacks Iron Man doing 2 wound.

He also rolls a unblockable against Thor which misses. Thor attacks Count, rolling 6 skulls he blocks it(Eel auto shield). Eel uses his SA to attack Thor and Cap, both blocked it. Thor attacks Count again rolling 6 skulls, the count reveals the X do turn 1 skull into a blank so it only does 2 wounds.
R5 – Count takes a LEA from Thor so he can attack down on Cap, he does 2 wounds taking Cap out. Dead OM 1 on Cap. Count attacks Thor, its blocked. Thor attacks the Count rolling 5 skulls, Count turns one into a blank and takes 1 wound. Eel attacks Thor doing 1 wound. Thor attacks Count, its blocked.
R6 – Thor attacks Count doing a wound(1 skull turned into a blank.) Count attacks Thor, its blocked. Thor attacks but blanks on 8 dice! Count attacks and only rolls 1 skull on 7 dice, Thor blocks it. Thor attacks Count and rolls 1 skull too, crazy cold dice, Count blocks it. Eel attacks rolling 4 skulls on 4 dice, doing 1 wound to Thor.
R7 – Thor wins initiative and attacks Count and finally takes him out rolling 5 which was enough to do the final wound to him. Thor attacks Eel doing 2 wounds. Hammerhead attacks with his SA doing 1 wound. Thor takes out Eel. Hammerhead attack Thor with his SA, its blocked.
R8 - Thor attacks Hammerhead doing a wound. Hammerhead attacks Thor with his SA it's blocked. Thor does 2 wounds to Hammerhead. Hammerhead attacks Thor its's blocked. Thor finishes off Hammerhead.

R1 – Movement. The Count attacks Firefly with his SA doing 2 wounds, he uses a marker and the X to change one of his shields to a skull to roll an unblockable against Atlas, which misses. A Goon attacks down on Firefly doing 2 wounds to take him out. Wonder Man moves. Grim kills a Goon.
R2 – Count attacks Grim with his SA and uses a marker to roll an unblockable against Wonder Man, he does 1 wound to Grim. A goon attacks Grim, its blocked. Atlas hits the Count for 1 wound. Grim Reaper attacks Count doing 1 wound and takes OM3 off of him. Masque attacks Grim who blocks it. A goon hits Grim for a wound from range. Wonder Man attacks up on Masque who blocks it. Grim attacks Masque who takes a wound. No OM3. Wonder Man attacks up on Masque and hits her for 3 wounds taking her out. Grim attacks the Count who blocks it. At the end of round, 2 markers are removed from Masque, a shield is rolled and she returns.
R3 – Wonder Man hits Nefaria for 1 wound. Grim attacks Nefaria it's blocked. The Count attacks Grim Reaper doing 3 wounds and taking him and OM2 out. A goon attacks Atlas and its blocked. Hammerhead attacks Atlas with his SA 4 times(uses 1 marker) doing no damage. A Goon hits Atlas for 3 wounds but it's reduced to 1. Wonder Man attacks Nefaria who uses a marker and he blocks all damage. Count Nefaria attacks Wonder Man doing 1 wound. A goon attacks Wonder Man, its blocked
R4 – Wonder Man attacks Count doing 1 wound. Count hits Wonder Man for 3 wounds which gets reduced to 1 wound. A Goon hits Wonder Man for 3 wounds which gets reduced to 1 wound. Wonder Man attacks Count who blocks and heals a wound. Masque attacks Wonder Man doing 1 wound. A Goon attacks Wonder Man doing 2 wounds but Wonder Man ignores them and puts a wound on Count Nefaria and kills the goon. Atlas attacks Nefaria who blocks it and heals a wound. Hammerhead attacks Wonder Man with his SA, Count uses a marker and Masque puts an auto wound on Wonder Man. Hammerhead attacks again but its blocked(re-roll failed to roll a blank). Goon moves adjacent to Masque and attacks Wonder Man and rolls a blank which Masque uses to put the final wound on Wonder Man.
R5 – Count uses his SA to hit Atlas for a wound. Atlas attacks Count from range, and its blocked and he heals a wound. Hammerhead who is adjacent to Masque attacks with his SA rolling a blank on the first 2 attacks which Masque turned into auto wounds. A Goon who is adjacent to Masque attacks Atlas and rolls a Blank and Masque turns it into an autowound and it takes out Atlas to end the game.

Who won? List figures remaining in the winning army (include life remaining for heroes): Count Nefaria 3 wounds/3 life left, Madame Masque full 4 life(revived once), Hammerhead full 4 life, 1 Goon left.

GENERAL THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT: So as is at 440 points I like the design. It took me playing with him to get a better grasp on “The Might of the Maggia” power. It's a really versatile power that was effect quite a few powers. Paired with Hammerhead and Madame Masque and supported by Goons it can be strong in the right spot. It's probably good that it's once a round. All in all he went 1 and 1 losing a close game to a strong Avengers team and soundly beating a B-level Grim Reaper team. Although if Madame Masque didn't come back or if Count Nefaria didn't heal a couple of wounds they would have lost, so maybe not that big of a win. I wonder if there is a need for Investment Markers on his card. I'd rather just have The Might power just be an X-power. As I said I think he is good as is but I do have a couple of suggestions that might add more flavor to the card but not change the meat of the design:

Count Nefaria is supposed to be the head of the European Maggia and be pretty rich, getting rid of the markers on his card makes sense if we are dropping them from the Might power. It also allows it to stay on theme and power up his fellow Crime Lords. Ionic Laser SA now gets the healing on it. The SA is cool by itself but rarely to you get more than 1 figure adjacent to another in a typical 800 to 1200 point C3G game after round 1. Maybe once a game. So times where he can hit multiple adjacent figures is limited. He can still use his X-Power here as well to bump up his own blanks.

Again this is just an idea I had while playing. If there was room for a fourth power you could leave the SA and Heal alone and add Old Word Money on top of the original 3 but I'm betting there isn't. Either way it's a solid design. Points look good.

Might of the Maggia is something I never ran out of markers on, so I'm down to make it just an X power and represent his ridiculous wealth another way. Old Wolrd Money is probably the perfect way to do that! The SA edit also pretty much covers the rest, there is little opportunity to hit him from range in my games and the Siphon makes it not worth it, so I think this increases fun added value. As a whole I think the design still largely operates roughly the same as well, so I'm down with these changes.

- Give a brief overview. This was a team that seemed better on paper than they were on the field. Dice luck was also not on Nefaria's side but he still managed to do most of the damage and tank a few hits along with use all of his powers.

Abigail makes Nefaria an Agent. Nefaria gives Jimmy a 6th marker. Cecil has garnered Government Funding for Nefaria. Red Skull hires Crossbones and Viper has Taskmaster under Contract.

Terrorists have initiative. In T1 Taskmaster and Viper move up; Jimmy sends Gorilla and Brand up. In T2 Skull and Crossbones move up; Gorilla engages Taskmaster and Jimmy moves up. In T3 Taskmaster slices Gorilla for a wound and Viper, with the aid of Red Skull, finishes off Gorilla (3/5 skulls +2 rerolled to skulls & a 18 for CotGM); Cecil advances and sends Nefaria in to engage Viper.
R2
Jimmy removes a marker to allow his Agents to disengage. Agents have initiative. In T1 Jimmy sends Brand in and she gives Viper 3 wounds and then Nefaria flies to height and misses Skull with his Ionic Laser; Crossbones returns fire (4/4 skulls) so Nefaria exerts the Might of the Maggia and still takes 2 wounds followed by a 2 more wounds from the second Crossbones strike. In T2 Woo moves up almost catching Taskmaster flatfooted but Skull saves him and then Brand moves to engage Taskmaster and Viper but can't wound anyone; Taskmaster moves up and slices Brand to ribbons and Viper one shots Woo. In T3 Cecil moves up Missing Viper and Nefaria takes out Viper with his Ionic laser; Taskmaster engages Cecil and Nebula moves in.
R3
Agents have initiative. In T1 Cecil removes a marker and Teleports to height shooting Taskmaster for a wound and Nefaria engages and blasts Skull for a wound with his Ionic Laser wounding Nebula and healing himself in the process; Crossbones hits Nefaria for 2 wounds and Skull misses Nefaria. In T2 Cecil misses Taskmaster and Nefaria blasts SKull for 3 wounds with his Ionic Laser; Taskmaster engages and finishes off Nefaria. In T3 Cecil moves up shooting Crossbones for a wound; Taskmaster advances and shoots a Quick Arrow at Cecil which misses and he advances more and Nebula moves in showing Taskmaster how its done and shoots Cecil for 3 wounds.

Agents have initiative. In T1 Cecil falls back shooting Taskmaster for a wound; Crossbones advances missing Cecil with both attacks and Skull moves in and finishes him off revealing him to be an Infiltrator for the win.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? The Terrorists won with Red Skull bearing 4/5 wounds, Taskmaster bearing 2/5 wounds, Crossbones bearing 1/4 wounds, and Nebula bearing 1/6 wounds with the Infiltrator still in play.

- Give a brief overview. This started out super brutal and absolutely in the Maggia's favor but a lucky Disengage and Optic Destruction from Cyclops turned the tide but Nefaria still almost took it but he couldn't compete with Archangel and Nightcrawler's autowounds.

X-Men have initiative. In T1 Wolverine advances; Eel and a Goon advance with Woilverine Tracking them. In T2 Cyclops moves up and has Nightcrawler bamf up to height; Hammerhead moves up with Wolverine Tracking him as Hammerhead misses Wolverine with his Tommy gun and Eel removes a Marker boosting the Goon (3/4 skulls+2) but Hammerhead also removes a marker rerolling the last die into a skull and Wolverine takes a wound. In T3 Cyclops advances missing Eel and has Archangel advance; Nefaria engages Wolverine and is Boosted by Eel and then backed by Hammerhead dealing Wolverine 2 more wounds letting Archangel fly up and a Goon advances and then a Goon moves up and is boosted by Eel and vacked by Hammerhead finishing off Wolverine allowing Archangel to move and take out a Goon with his Razor wings and the Goons give Eel back a marker.
R2
X-Men have initiative. In T1 Cyclops blasts Nefaria for 2 wounds and Nightcrawler Bamfs forward and takes a piece of Nefaria away with him (1 wound) and Archangel takes out a Goon; Nefaria engages Cyclops and is boosted by Eel and backed by Hammerhead and punches Cyclops for 3 wounds and a Goon moves in shooting Cyclops for another wound. In T2 Cyclops risks an LEA and escapes to Optic Blast Eel, Hammerhead, and a Goon giving Eel and Hammerhead 3 wounds each and taking out the Goon and then has Archanagel fly into retaliation range and Nightcrawler misses Hammerhead; Nefaria shoots Archangel for a wound with his Ionic Laser healing and Archangel Zooms over taking out the last Goon with his Razor Wings. In T3 Cyclops engages Nefaria, has Archangel fly over Nefaria and Eel but he can't wound either and takes 2 wounds from Eel's Electric Skin, and Nightcrawler whiffs; Nefaria finishes off Cyclops with his Ionic Laser.

In T1 Nightcrawler Bamfs around taking out Hammerhead and Eel and ends engaged to Nefaria; Nefaria tries hit Nightcrawler with his Ionic Laser (reveals the X) but he Bamfs away with a piece of him and Archangel flies over slashing him with his Razor Wings for a wound. Who won and how many wounds did they have? The X-Men won with Archangel bearing 3/6 wounds and Nightcrawler unwounded.

THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: Adding an extra Investment Marker is definitely a unique synergy and all of his powers are useful just more geared toward his own faction which feels like a good choice. I almost feel like he is slightly over costed at 440 but I do like where it puts him for army building. I do think he could come down 10-20 points and not be overpowered though.

GENERAL THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT: All of his powers are useful and interesting. I especially liked the interplay between TMotM and ILSA. It's pretty hard to decide when to use the laser and when to attack normally but that seems like a good thing. If he's wounded more than a little you almost always want to use the Laser and reveal an X on him. Definitely liking how this little faction has turned out.
