HoSS Playtesting thread

I would love to do this yoda one too, but at the moment I am short on people to playtest with and still need to throw a couple games down. But anyway....
EDIT: Just bought a ewok hang glider and some other ewoks, I'm going to clone this guy a couple times. @Yodaking , @Arch-vile , final test for the pigs, lobot , and secret project done.

Darth Vader (Empire Strikes Back) is available for playtesting. Those who sign up for Darth Vader will also receive the designs for 3 Destructible objects - Container, Crate, and Chemical Canister. Hmmm, wonder what Vader might do with those? PM @mac122 to sign up.

The figure used for this unit is a Star Wars figure from the Battle of Hoth set. Its model number and name are 12/Darth Vader, Imperial Commander.

Alternate figure:
The figure used for this unit is a Star Wars figure from the Alliance and Empire set. Its model number and name are 25/Darth Vader, Imperial Commander.
(Any Darth Vader figure you have will work. This is the sculpt currently planned for the card)

You will need some small objects. 2 sizes of small wooden blocks or dice will work for the Containers and Crates. Small wooden spools work well for the Canisters.

Do you have any pictures of the what the actual crates, containers, and canisters look like?

Large package of 3/4" wood blocks for containers. Purchase these at Michael's. They have smaller packages. They also have the smaller wood blocks and the spools in the same line. I'm sure Hobby Lobby or other craft supply stores would have similar items.



Chemical Canister, Crate, and Container. They will take a little work - sanding, filling, and painting.



Here are some plastic versions I found at Miniature Market. $6.39 for a package that contains 2 Containers, 6 Crates, and 9 Canisters. The drawback is that the Crates are connected in sets of 2 and the Canisters in sets of 3. You will have to separate them and then sand/scrape/trim before painting. There are some other bits in the package that would be useful to make custom terrain.


The plastic and wood canisters along with another idea. Glue some wound markers together to make a canister.



Different size dice can work as crates and containers.


Even a d20 can work as an odd-shaped Container.



The main thing is that you know which item represents each DO.

Vader Looks very cool, I had already started making cannisters at my house with those exact spools, I also have a bunch of those little blocks already too for destructible objects, looks like I don't have to make a card for em now. I want to playtest this but have to finish some others (Glider,Yoda) before I commit.

I have some questions, or concerns about yoda/luke combo after doing playtest 1 last night. Who should I pm about those, as I would prefer addressing those things before another playtest.
