Thanks man I appreciate it. But most of the painting I've done merely accents the paint jobs already present on the figures. I couldn't do the whole paint a base coat, then do the painting, then do the washing thing. I would go crazy!

I would love that, the figures are painted, pardon the word, like crap! And i love painting that scale, its also more customizable.

Which reminds me, i should go paint some figures.

I am mixed on this.

On one hand, the sclpts are beautiful and they lend themselves well to great paintjobs. I consider myself good at painting (I too spent days painting grids on the missile launchers of a MadCat) and I think I would enjoy it.

On the other, I did my time with the brush and magnifying glass. I enjoy the prospect of being able to play with a toy right out of the box. Besides, having a 3 year old doesn't give you much time to play, yet alone to paint.

10 years ago, I would have been all over unpainted Heroscape, but now I like them painted.

Having to paint them myself would mark the end of new purchases.

When my cousin got me playing, I was pretty averse to Scape. If it weren't for the prepainted everything, I wouldn't have tried it. Hey, I'm a college student; who has time to paint minis when you're engaging in a busy college student life?
