Sounds like you just kinda cheese it and put the figure down next to where they are "actually" receiving the fall damage?

I think Batman misunderstood me a bit. I am hoping to roll fall damage when it happens, but you can't really properly if you fall on a space that's already occupied.

This also raises the question on what would happen in this situation if the falling figure held a treasure glyph and was destroyed by the falling damage.

I didn’t misunderstand you. If you can move through a space with another figure in it, you can roll for falling damage when moving through that space. The miniature doesn’t have to be physically placed on the hexes for you to roll dice.

I stand corrected. This will never seem quite right to me but I also bet it will never come up... Especially with a treasure glyph to make it more complicated.

I'm all for a house rule that you avoid fall damage when falling onto a hex occupied by unengaged friendly units. They aren't busy, so they can catch you.

If a figure with a Treasure Glyph is destroyed while phantom walking through another figure, what happens to the Treasure Glyph?
As long as there is not already a glyph on the space the 2 figures occupied, the Treasure Glyph is placed on the space.

I think this ruling/clarification would apply here as well. The Treasure Glyph would go on the non-falling figure’s space.

Or a better house rule would allow falling onto any figure. Both the falling figure, and the figure that's already on the space, roll for falling damage. If the figure on the space survives and is an opposing figure or engaged friendly figure, then destroy the falling figure (aka Pounce Special Attack, sort of).
