Re: Movies: What did You Watch Last Night?
Yeah, big fan of that one too. I'm not sure if that or X-Men: First Class is my favorite X-Men movie to date, but it's definitely between those two for me.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Yeah, those two are tops, but I also like the first X-Men too.

Re: Movies: What did You Watch Last Night?
I just saw that last night myself along with an old Justice League animated feature.
Days was very good but they had the benefit of some characters with backgrounds already done, they were able to squeeze in a ton of characters. Peter Dinklage was very impressive, great actor. Check him and Summer Glau out, in Knights of Badassdom. I watched Valkyrie the other night. Very cool movie; I've been thinking about it ever since. Even got on Wikipedia to read up a little on Colonel Stauffenberg.

Re: Movies: What did You Watch Last Night?
I watched this when it first came out on video. They did a great job of telling the story. IIRC, this movie had the misfortune of opening in theaters around the time Tom Cruise was getting a ton of bad press. Might have done better without the distraction.

Re: Movies: What did You Watch Last Night?
I introduced my wife to Reservoir Dogs this weekend. Movies tend to make her kind of narcoleptic so we had to watch it in two stages.
She didn't think it was as good as Pulp Fiction, which she had liked. She is probably right, but I still like the movie. I realized today that it feels a lot like a play in many ways. That's not a bad thing. Good observation caps.
Reservoir Dogs on Broadway would be pretty cool and I think perhaps popular. A cloud can change its semblance, yet retain its will With the intimacy of destruction, One knows what it is to be alive The empty sky holds no reflection, for sorrow - Eslo Rudkey |

Re: Movies: What did You Watch Last Night?
I just saw a film review panel on NY1, our local cable news channel on Time Warner. Everyone said they loved the X-Men movies, and were glad Bryan Singer was back with the franchise.
Its almost disconcerting when mainstream people get with the program! Especially reviewers. Guess we'll have to let them in. |

Watched the director's cut of The Watchmen again last night. Just a slick, slick film that was pretty much perfectly cast.

Re: Movies: What did You Watch Last Night?
I went with my wife and kids to see Big Hero 6 tonight and thoroughly enjoyed it. It is a very entertaining, family-friendly, animated action flick with some genuinely funny dialogue and great characters. It wasn't the Avengers or Guardians of the Galaxy, but it's worth watching.
The Marvel Geek in me loved the post-credits scene... |
