Unit Summary: Other than Beast Boy having good damage die rolls, the dice favored the Justice League here. Hawkman tore up Raven and the JL had too much turn efficiency compared to the Titans. When Cyborg rolled well on offense, the JL rolled better on defense. He’s probably fine, but the faction definitely feels a bit limp.

Initiative Justice League. Flash pushes Hawkamn forward then zooms to the middle of the map. Hawkman flies up behind him. Raven advances and blasts Hawkman for one wound. Flash moves adjacent to Raven and pushes her down a level. Hawkman fires down at Raven, inflicting 2 wounds on her, then a 3rd with his Nth Metal. He closes in and finishes her from height. He removes the X and moves Flash and Superman up 2 spaces each, but neither has a target. Starfire engages Hawkman and fails to hit him. Flash pushes Superman forward. Superman flies up and engages Starfire. Superman punches Starfire for 2 wounds. He uses a JL Marker. Flash zooms up and engages Cyborg and punches him for two wounds. Hawkman takes a swipe, flies out of engagement with Starfire, snipes her for a wound from range, then flies back in and smacks her for a third wound. Nightwing has Titans Go. Starfire takes out Hawkman (Superman fails to rescue) then fails two attacks on Superman. Beast Boy sneaks out of engagement and then hits Superman for a damage die. Initiative Justice League. Flash pushes Nightwing down a level. Superman punches down on Cyborg for one wound. He uses a JL Marker. Flash punches Cyborg from height and gets him down to one life. Titans Go! Cyborg uses his sonic cannon and can’t hit either enemy with a 4 skull attack (ouch). Nightwing attacks both enemies twice with his Escrima and wounds Flash once. Flash pushes Nightwing, then moves himself away. Superman finishes Cyborg from height. Nightwing can’t hit Superman from height and range. Flash pushes Nightwing down. Superman can’t hit Nightwing. Nightwing climbs to even height and can’t hit either enemy with his Escrima.
Initiative Justice League after Flash burns a marker. No one could hit anything until Nightwing whiffs at the end of the round against a 5 skull attack from Superman to end it.

Units: Nightwing, Cyborg, Beast Boy, Hawk, Dove (1000) vs Iron Man (Avengers), Captain America (Avengers), War-Machine, Black Widow (1000)
Unit Summary: Hawk and Dove underperformed here, but Cyborg, Beast Boy, and Nightwing had the staying power as a trio to take out Iron Man and run it deep into end game before Black Widow pulled out the close win. Cyborg’s special attack got good use here.

Initiative Avengers. Captain America advances. Hawk advances. Iron Man has Black Widow and Cap advance. Dove advances. Iron Man and War-Machine move up together (super fast thanks to War-Machine). Tony double blasts Dove from height and takes her out. She fails both Premonition rolls. Titans Go! Hawk, Cyborg, and Nightwing advance, but none can get into attack range.
Initiative Avengers. Cap advances and attacks down on Hawk for three quick wounds. Titans Go! Hawk double attacks Iron Man from height disadvantage for 2 wounds. Cyborg shoots at Iron Man from even height, but his 3 skulls can’t get through. Nightwing fires Iron Man from height disadvantage and slips in a 3rd wound. War-Machine uses collective Avenger might and KO’s Hawk. War-Machine moves to engage Nightwing. Iron Man attacks down on Nightwing twice for 3 wounds. Cyborg finishes off Iron Man with his normal attack. Black Widow rescues OM3 to War-Machine, who fails flyover attempts on Nightwing and Cyborg, then smacks Cyborg for two wounds. Black Widow advances. Cyborg can’t hit War-Machine.
Initiative Avengers. Cap can’t hit Nightwing from height and Nightwing flips back. Cyborg fires off his cannon, potentially hitting Nightwing, who flips back again. Cap takes a wound and War-Machine takes two. War-Machine misses his flyover on Nightwing and fails to hit him with an attack. Nightwing flips back 2 spaces. Beast Boy flies to height on War-Machine, goes Gorilla, and finishes him. Black Widow rescues the Order Markers to Cap. Cap fails to hit Cyborg. Black Widow advances and shoots Cyborg for 3 wounds. Titans Go! Beast Boy runs up to Cap in Stag form and hits him with a damage die. Cyborg goes full Sonic Cannon again and rolls 4 skulls but only lands 2 wounds on Black Widow (Cap blocks). Nightwing rolls all skulls on Widow from height disadvantage, but she blocks. Widow and Beast Boy avoid lava wounds.
Initiative Titans. Titans Go! Cyborg rolls 4 skulls on his Sonic Cannon again and Widow blocks, but Cap takes 2 wounds. Beast Boy fails a damage die attempt to finish Cap. Nightwing smacks Black Widow for 2 wounds. Cap punches Best Boy for 2 wounds. Beast Boy fails a damage die roll on Cap. Cap punches Beast Boy for 1 wound. Beast Boy finishes Cap with a Damage Die. Widow takes the Order Markers, engages Beast Boy, and hits him for 2 wounds on a double attack.
Initiative Black Widow. She KO’s Cyborg and Beast Boy with melee attacks. Nightwing engages Widow but can’t hit her with his Escrima. Widow gets two free tries as Cyborg and Beast Boy had the other Order Markers, but she can’t finish Nightwing.
Initiative Black Widow. She catches Nightwing whiffing for the win.

UNIT SUMMARY: He’s OK. I feel like he’s probably worth his points as-is, though I wish he had better synergy with Raven and Starfire. Those two both need something to give them a bit more staying power if the big five Titans are going to be a viable build.

things talked about was making him offer something for the faction.

Initiative boost or faction restricted defensive aura thing to make him a target earlier something like that.

I think first step may be reopening the discussion on Raven to make sure we're happy with where she's at? Or possibly just suspending her from tests with him and figuring him out first.

I do think to make that core 5 feel better as a team than other options they need more of them contributing to synergy. Right now only Nightwing and Starfire really feel like they're giving to the rest of the group. Beast Boy has some soft synergy with Starfire.

Initiative boost could be cool. I feel like there could also be something in him moving figures around? There are lots of time where I want Starfire out of engagement by the end of my turn, or where Raven isn’t exactly where I need her to eat some wounds.

But if Raven is feeling bad, I agree it makes sense to stop and work on her again.

Raven feels like we just went too safe and it now makes half her card not worth the risk. Healing allies isn't really worth it. You can only shed one wound a round and with her low defense she's usually taking 2 wounds at a time and then her low life means she's almost dead anyway so you can't heal anyone.

I'd almost want to go even higher on her life even if it means lowering her defense.

When we were workshopping her I intended for her MD2 to come with at least one more life but that got overlooked and I didn't catch it. Only saying that so that it's clear that this isn't something that's I'm just throwing out there now.

Yeah, I think her auto wounding is still scary, but so much so that it makes sense to focus her down quickly, which means it's often possible to take her our before she can get any healing in.

Another thought on her is to nix the Order Marker removal thing to give her more flexibility on when she can use Soul Self. That plus 6 Life might get her back to respectable without being overpowered.
