Re: The Book of Max Mercury (Public Testing)
I think anything that's Max + other speedsters, versus an army with one or two guys that Max counters, works. Haven't really done anything to try and leverage the fact that he's a Mystery Man, which could be fun to play around with.

Re: The Book of Max Mercury (Public Testing)
Yeah, a Mystery Man build focused around Jay/Max/Hawkman might be solid.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Max Mercury (Public Testing)
C3G STANDARD PLAYTEST FEEDBACK FORM
NAME OF THE PLAYTEST UNIT: Max Mercury Army Test Map: Custom Units: Commander Rogers, Max Mercury (190), Quicksilver, Flash (Barry) (915) VS Professor X, Wolverine, Blob, Angel, Dazzler, Jubilee (915)
Spoiler Alert!
___________________________________________________________ Army Test Map: Custom Units: Max Mercury (180), Flash (Jay), Hawkman (Carter), Hourman and Liberty Belle (1000) VS Fan4
Spoiler Alert!
THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: He's a nice synergy piece for the speedsters, being able to get away from Blob and Mister Fanastic is a nice ability for them to have as a faction. I always enjoy playing with Barry and Quicksilver (speedsters in general, but those are the ones I have the most games with) and Max seems like a nice companion for them. |

Re: The Book of Max Mercury (Public Testing)
Thanks, Tickle! Feeling pretty good about moving him forward at 190. Record is pretty effective about him being good against armies that are built on disruptive stuff that speedsters hate, but no great shakes in really any other context.

Re: The Book of Max Mercury (Public Testing)
I'd prefer 190 just because he's a counterdraft piece, but otherwise he looks great. Pre-yea

Re: The Book of Max Mercury (Public Testing)

Ronin, any preferences between getting this out now in Pillars of Society or saving it for a likely Flash Wave in 2021? C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Max Mercury (Public Testing)
Let's go to editing. Passed.
Narrow preference for holding out for a Flash release. More tightly themed there. |

Re: The Book of Max Mercury (Final Editing)
Sounds good. That's our early favorite for having enough figures for the Anniversary Wave, so I don't mind keeping him in for that if you don't.

Re: The Book of Max Mercury (Final Editing)
I'm almost always okay with putting a design in the tank for later.
