Q: What is this thread about?

A: Apparently we're having another tournament in RI! And it's on Saturday May 5th!

Q: When in May?

A: I'm glad you asked! It's going to be on Saturday May 5th at Noon.

Q: Where is it going to be?

A: Same place as the last RI Tournament! Disposable Heroes in Johnston RI. It's a big venue with plenty of room. Ask anyone who attended the last RI tournament. This place is like Heaven for gamers.

Here's the Directions:

1428 Hartford Ave, Johnston, RI 02919

From North:

Take 295 South to Exit 6
Turn Left on Route 6A East
At Bank RI (Across from Wendy's) Turn Right into Parking Lot
We are located on the 2nd floor of Bond Plaza
above Corner Pockets!

From South:

Take 295 North to Exit 6
Take Last Exit on Right (6A)
Turn Left on Route 6A
At Bank RI (Across from Wendy's) Turn Left into Parking Lot

Q: So wait who's running this thing.

A: Minion's Chomp/The Fattest Ninja's friend. That would be me. ColossusFastball Special... the guy that disappears for weeks at a time.

Q: But the last RI tournament was complete crap.

A: That wasn't a question so I refuse to dignify it with a response.

Q: How are we detailing scoring?

A: We're going to run scoring the same way we've run the last few Mass Tournaments. When I say we, I mean Oprime and Pilgrim cause they are awesome. Points you kill=your total at the end. If your opponent has less than 500 points in his army and you kill his whole army, you get 500 even.

Q: Fair Enough. What are the point Values?

A: 500 points, as per usual!

Q: What figures are allowed?

A: All official Heroscape figures are fair game, including Q9.

Wait, I thought Q9 was Banned?

No, that was an April Fools Day Joke. Good Eye Grungebob!

Q: What about customs/repaints?

A: No customs. But you can use a repaint of an official figure if it looks awesome (subject to approval).

Q: What maps are we going to use?

A: Official Heroscape Maps only. Although after the last tournament, we may stick to Master Set only maps. This is still up in the air.

Q: Ok. Whats the cover charge?

A: No charge! Anyone who wants to come and play, bring it on!

Q: What about prizes?

A: Donations are the only way to play in my book. I don't like cover charges unless it helps pay to rent the venue. I'll be donating something (no clue what yet-won't know till the day before lol) to the prize table, PM me, or post to the thread if your planning on bringing something. The more donations we have the better, but if we have no donations, we'll still have fun beating the crap out of each other's armies!

Q: Did I forget something?

A: Probably. I'm sure that some people will point it out in the thread. Then I will address it here.

Q: Wait, why do you still have a poll up for April?

A: I can't get rid of it for some reason. Shhhh. No one will notice.

I want to get final counts by thursday as I have to set up all the boards on Friday night. I'll plan for a few extras so if it comes down to saturday morning, and your mom won't let you out of the house unless you bring your brother (story of my life), bring him along! The more the merrier.

Also, I need a final count on the kit tourney to see if we even have enough to run one. Khan? what did you use for a cutoff age last time 12?

I'm so stoked. And if you tell me this will be at Disposable Heroes again, then I'm double-stoked. Or maybe stoked-squared. Well, very very stoked anyway. More stoked than a lot of people in the world are at any given time for sure.

Unless of course it's on Sunday, in which case my stoked-condition drops precipitously. Sundays are a work day for me

For those that need definitive date, you can pretty much bet on saturday as it looks like something has come up on my end for Sunday. I just have to double check the day at DH. (there should be pleeeeeeenty of room)

I was actually at Disposable Heroes this past Saturday (March 24) looking for Witchblade. I'm hoping I can make it for the tournament, but Saturday is a hard day for me since it's a "work" day for my band... I'll see what I can do.

Well OK then. I'd like to see if there's now any interest in a Boston-area Heroscape day of gaming on the 28th? I'd offered to host before I'd found out about this tourney. It would be just a day of gaming -- from like 10 to 6 in Watertown.
