Re: The Book of Magenta (Breathing Period)
We need to fix the wording on the EMP power. Nobody's reading it correctly (not even MrNobody).
It's a defensive power that works better when figures like Girder and Flash are the ones targeted for the D20 power. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

You're suggesting this is a new sort of EMP that protects robots?

Re: The Book of Magenta (Breathing Period)
Maybe I'm reading it wrong. I think that "rolls the 20-sided die for a figure" is a bit too vague, though. If it's meant to be for a special power on that figure's Army Card, I think the wording should specify that.
Like if Superman tries to move away from Jean Grey and Jean Grey's player rolls the 20-sided die, is the player rolling for Jean Grey or Superman? I can at least see how that's confusing to the end user. But, yeah, if it's meant to be for a special power on the enemy figure's Army Card, then the synergies aren't worthwhile. Making her better against Girder and Flash doesn't do anything. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Magenta (Breathing Period)
Yeah, that's a fair point and we can do better on the wording. It's definitely leaning on the name to make it all work right now.
The Girder call-out does do something because he has a d20 power. |

Re: The Book of Magenta (Breathing Period)
Sorry, I should clarify. It's not that calling out Girder/Superspeeders does nothing mechanically (though it might for the speedsters up to this point), it's more that it does nothing appealing in terms of factional synergy. OK, she can make Girder worse. Does that make me want to play them together more?
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Magenta (Breathing Period)
I think just both being Rogues with very different niches is nice for Magenta/Girder pairing. I like her being able to punk him if they go up against each other.

Re: The Book of Magenta (Breathing Period)
Sure, I guess. I like team up synergy better than match up synergy, though, personally, because the former is under the player's control and the latter is not so much.

Re: The Book of Magenta (Breathing Period)
The power is intended to work on all D20 rolls, foe boosting themselves and foe targeting friend. I can go either way on the Superspeed callout. If people think it's a theme break, that's fine. Magenta will be useful to the Rogues either way. Is there a better way to word the power so it is clear?
