Re: The Book of The Thing (Ben Grimm) (II) - Initial PT
If you were running Thing with WC and on OM 3 activated WC, you would take a turn with Thing and then continue with Wrecking Crew?
Who would be best to replace in the WC with Thing? |

Re: The Book of The Thing (Ben Grimm) (II) - Initial PT
I'm pretty much fine with whatever you want to try here. We already have a few Luke tests with solid data. I tried to do something with Casey, but didn't have any luck there. So if you wanted to run one test with either him or Songbird to check out some of the other Fighter synergies that would be cool. If you don't, that is fine too as I want to know he's worth his points outside of the fighter synergy as well. The whole point of the design is to have him easily slot into lots of different armies afterall. I'd only suggest drafting him with a minimum of 4 other unique hero allies in order to try and get a couple of his free turns in before the numbers take that option away. Sturdy guys like the WC seem like a good route to take, pair him up with squishy types and his 4th turn goes away really quickly. Maybe see how he feels in a GotG type army build?

Hmm, that is something we might need to clarify with the wording. I think you would only get to do one or the other, take a turn with Wrecker, followed up by Thing, or take a turn with Wrecker, followed up by Bulldozer, not both. After Wrecker, I feel Piledriver is the most important member. His -1 def, double attack potential on non-SS units can be really effective. Bulldozer and Thunderball are fairly equal after that. Thunderball has the SA, which can be useful for taking down counterstrike types, while Bulldozer can get you that one big hit that's useful for putting a quick hurting on high defense types. |

So play.it no stacking of turns?
Good to know. Probably go Wrecker on OM1 then. Once one goes.down it will start to fall apart. Which makes me think there should be a few extra heroes. Only using him once.a.round may not be as good as bonding him with Cage or Ms Marvel? |

You could tag “no additional heroes” onto Thing’s wording.

Yeah, that and an 'immediately' should clear things up. |

Re: The Book of The Thing (Ben Grimm) (II) - Initial PT
Actually I already had 'immediately' in there.
FOUR OF A KIND After revealing Order Marker 3 on another card and taking a turn with that figure, if you have three revealed Order Markers on the Army Cards of three other Unique Heroes you control, you may immediately reveal the "X" Order Marker on this card and take a turn with The Thing, and you may not take any additional turns with other figures you control. That should help clear things up. As for a WC army build concept, I kind of assumed you'd go OM1&2 on WC members, then switch to someone else and Thing for the OM3&X reveals. Thing is expensive, so he can be hard to build 1000 point teams with 5 UH's though. Maybe go up to 1200 with that build. Wrecker 230 Piledriver 190 Thing 340 Thunderball or Bulldozer 190.....950 Spidey/Psylocke/Flash/IM Mark IV/Red Skull/Su-Mariner 250 or 2 unique heroes for 250 points, Weather Wizard & Moon Knight? Mocking Bird & Teddy Bear? Falcon & Ravage? Grizzly Shark & Jonah Hex? Mr. Zsasz & Iceman? Really just any two Unique Heroes that would like to bond with Thing on the OM3 turn. |

Robot. Red Skull. Zombie.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of The Thing (Ben Grimm) (II) - Initial PT
Thing 350, Red Skull 250, Robot 210, Luke Cage 190. 1000
All can bond with Thing, so you could get 4 Thing turns if Red Skull comes through. Drop Skull for Ms Marvel at 1100. I figure with these builds, once you lose the bonus turn you still have bonding. Thing 340, Ms Marvel, Cage and Zombie with the Amulet on Zombie. 1000 Thing 340, Cage, Robot, Oracle, Ragdoll, Atom. 1000 Not as much bonding but extra Heroes to keep 4 of a Kind viable. |
