Re: Sports: NFL
From what I saw of Steve's post game interview (and what I know about him from his 13 years at Carolina), he knew it was interference. If he thought it was a wrong call, he'd be all over the refs and talking to everyone that will listen.

Absolutely true.
I'm the first to admit I have blinders on when it comes to my teams. It's much easier to be objective when you don't have a vested interest. "A good teacher is like a candle: it consumes itself to light the way for others." -Anonymous |

Maybe Ryan will not blitz so much now that the Saints base defense can beat Aaron Rogers and the Packers.

Re: Sports: NFL
At this point, barring any overriding factor, I am rooting against the NFC south teams (or at least New Orleans and Carolina) in out of division games, and rooting for the upset in any division games. Because a 7-9 team making the playoffs is funny.

You're right about the sub-.500 issue. No different than the NBA's current system, though.

Re: Sports: NFL
Didn't Seattle get in at 7-9 one year and then win their first playoff game?

How cool would it be to win a playoff game?

Yep, it's been a couple of nailbiters. Cardiac Cats and what not. Reminds me of the last time we made the playoffs and some of the comeback victories we had (like the Dallas game).

Re: Sports: NFL
How about the Bears' Lamarr Houston pulling the same stunt that the Lions' player did by hurting himself when celebrating a sack. But Houston had to do one better and celebrate late in the game when the Bears were getting trounced, and not only did he celebrate a sack, but he celebrated a sack vs. the backup QB.
I say that when players get hurt in this fashion, they immediately get cut from the team. Re: Sports: NFL
Big game today between the Pats and Broncos. I think that NE needs the game more than Denver though. If they lose they will pretty much be out of the race for the #1 seed, plus their schedule is really tough the next few weeks (Packers, Lions, Chargers).
