Unit Summary: Black Lightning fit in with the Justice League just fine here but was definitely not overpowering.
Game Summary

Initiative Justice League. Flash pushes Batgirl forward and then moves to height. Black Lightning moves up the wing of the plane and Batgirl and Robin follow. Darkseid has two squads of Parademons advance. Flash moves up Batman. Black Lightning advances with Batgirl and takes out a Parademon with his Lightning Lash. Robin follows. Parademons advance and two hit Batgirl with auto wounds. She also takes one more wound, despite getting the boosts from her premonition and Black Lightning for both rolls. She just barely survives. Darkseid defeats one of his Parademons and blasts Black Lighning from range and height disadvantage for three quick wounds (ouch). Flash engages Darkseid. Batman climbs the wing and takes out two Parademons with auto wounds (one with help from a boost). He fails an attack on a third but Atom pops and fails his d20 roll. Darkseid has a Parademon attack Atom (fail) and then defeats that Parademon and moves and attacks Flash from height for one wound. Omega Effect finishes off Batgirl and wounds Flash and Black Lightning.
Initiative Justice League with Flash’s help. Flash moves Darkseid and himself. Black Lighning attacks four times with his special attack for two wounds on Darkseid. Robin fails to hit Darkseid from height. Atom pops a marker and fails to hit Darkseid with an auto wound. Darkseid takes out Black Lightning. Flash pushes Robin into engagement with Darkseid and zips out of the way. Batman attacks down on Darkseid from height and gets in one wound. Atom pops a marker and fails to hit his roll. Darkseid punches out Atom. Batman saves Atom’s Justice Marker to Flash. Flash attacks down on Darkseid but can’t hit. Darkseid puts two wounds on Robin. Omega Effect hits Batman, Flash, and Robin for a wound each.
Initiative Justice League with Batman’s help. Flash can’t hit Darkseid. Darkseid finishes Robin. Flash hits Darkseid for a wound from height. Darkseid avoids a swipe and takes height on his enemies and fails to hit Batman. Flash pummels Darkseid for three wounds. Darkseid hits Batman for a wound, then finishes Flash off with Omega Effect.
Initiative Batman. He fails to wound Darkseid from height. Darkseid finishes Batman.

Unit Summary: An ill-advised adjacent attack from Mister Fantastic that zapped him hard from Lightning Chain may have swung this one. The narrow bridges were in the Fan Four’s favor before Reed fell but after they made it tough for Thing to maximize his attacks and Oracle helped the Justice League pick the Fan Four apart.

Wonder Woman uses a marker. Initiative Justice League. Black Lightning advances. Sue and Reed advance. Black Canary advances. Reed adjusts position. Green Arrow follows the Secret Attack Plan and hits an obstructed Mister Fantastic for one wound. Thing, Torch, and Reed advance.
Wonder Woman uses a marker. Initaitive Fan Four. Invisible Woman blasts down on Green Arrow for a wound. Reed takes the bridge in front of her. Black Lightning engages Reed but he and two attacks from Green Arrow, including one from the Secret Attack Plan, can’t crack Reed’s defenses. Thing advances. Human Torch blasts Black Lightning from range for a wound. Reed makes a critical error and attacks Green Arrow while rubber wrapping him and Black Lightning. But the rubber is lit up, and Lightning Chain hits Reed for three wounds. Black Canary uses a marker to move up. Black Lightning rolls 5 skulls and punches out Mister Fantastic. Green Arrow uses a marker, engages Invisible Woman, and punches her for 2 wounds. Mister Fantastic had OM3. Green Arrow can’t hit Invisible Woman.
Wonder Woman uses her last marker. Initiative Fan Four. Invisible Woman yeets out of the way. She blasts up at Black Lightning, who blocks. Green Arrow attacks down on Human Torch and inflicts one wound, then flips off the bridge to try to pursue Sue, but fails to attack again. Thing one-shots Green Arrow from height. Canary is too far away to cry. Black Lightning takes a swipe from Thing and engages Sue. He inflicts two wounds on Invisible Woman with his Lightning Lash. Human Torch takes a swipe from Black Lightning and finishes him with a Flame On. Canary misses her cry but blocks Torch’s attack from height. Canary follows the Secret Attack Plan and punches Torch for a wound.
Initiative Fan Four. Torch takes out Black Canary with a Flame On and an attack but her cries finish off Sue and inflict two wounds on Thing and remove two Order Markers from him. The round is Wonder Woman’s and she uses it to finish off Torch with the help of a Secret Attack Plan.
Initiative Justice League. Wonder Woman locks down height on Thing and catches him whiffing for two wounds. He hits back for two wounds. The Secret Attack Plan wins it for Wonder Woman.

Unit Summary: Good map for the Outsiders and the dice and timing of the game broke their way. Katana had a huge attack that brought Wrecker to his knees and without him, the Crew wasn’t the same. They still brought it close, though.

Initiative Outsiders. Katana has Geo, Black Lightning, and herself advance. Batman has Katana and Black Lightning go to height. Bulldozer advances. Wrecker attacks Katana from range but she blocks. Geo-Force moves up and throws down some rock and hits Wrecker for a wound but not Katana. Batman uses Mission Prep to boost their attack. Geo-Force misses an obstructed Wrecker. Katana engages Wrecker and rolls all skulls for six deadly strike hits! Wrecker barely makes it out alive, with one life. Wrecker knocks a tree into Geo-Force. Bulldozer charges Black Lightning with two auto skulls and this Black Lightning for three quick wounds. Batman advances but can’t hit Bulldozer for a wound. Geo-Force hits Katana for a wound and defeats Wrecker with a lava field tile. Geo hits Bulldozer for two wounds from height. Wrecker had OM3.
Initiative Wrecking Crew. Bulldozer charges into Batman for two wounds. Thunderball hits Katana for two wounds from range. Piledriver avoids Iaijutsu Strike by 2 and takes out Katana. Geo-Force rallies the troops. He throws down rock and hits Thunderball for a wound, then Batman uses Mission Prep and Geo-Force attacks Thunderball from height and lava field and hits for three more wounds. Black Lightning uses his Lightning Lash and attacks four times but can’t hit Thunderball. Batman goes crazy with his Batarangs from height and takes out Bulldozer and puts three wounds on a whiffing Piledriver. Thunderball has his 4 skull roll blocked by Geo-Force. Geo-Force puts a fifth wound on Thunderball. Batman attacks Piledriver from height three times and hits for a wound. Black Lightning uses Lightning Lash to finish Thunderball and put a wound on Piledriver. Piledriver finishes Black Lightning. Geo-Force finishes Piledriver.

UNIT SUMMARY: Black Lightning feels solid but not absurd at 150. I plan to keep testing him and honing the faction as I convert them over. I’m happy with how he plays with the Justice League and Outsiders in this rendition.

2-1 record, but all three games felt winnable by both sides and the second game might've swung against Black Lightning had Mister Fantastic not made that ill-advised attack.
