Thanks for the confirmation, hex. I thought so, but I wasn't quite sure (being one of the biggest Star Wars fans here, you'd think I'd know :P).
I view them as just bonus characters, like Link or Spawn in Soulcalibur II. They're in the game, but not really part of the universe. I think it will be a blast to fight Yoda versus Darth Vader in a good fighting game....the last Star Wars fighting game really sucked.

Thought as much. Only got the chance to play it once or twice. Thought it was decent for what it was, aside from certain broken characters.

So I am.

But I'm still keeping the other thread locked. See, this thread is for both the TV show AND the movie.

That said, the movie is just the first three episodes of the television series... only in a movie theater.

Thanks for posting the info here, by the way!

Let's see, in 1978 George Lucas sued ABC and Glen Larson claiming that Battlestar Galactica was a blatant copyright infringement of Star Wars. IIRC (and I do) BSG repacked its first three episodes and put it in a theater, too. This was done with a soundtrack effect/tech called SenSurround, which was way ahead of Lucas's own THX sound system.

Perhaps someone should put the smackdown on Lucas now for using the same ploy that BSG did.

I know I'm showing my age here, but I had the privilege of getting to see BSG in SenSurround. I was 7 years old at the time and I've never forgotten it. When they showed the exterior of the ship, the engine noise shook the entire theater. It rocked!

I've always been crazy, but it's kept me from going insane.

I don't care if it is just the first three episodes of the show, I'll never pass up the chance to see anything Star Wars in the theaters...it's truly an experience like no other!
