How does Master’s Devotion work with Ferocious Assault (or whatever it is on Kong and Battlebeast?)

I guess Splinter pops in, avoids the Turtle’s defeat, but the wounds aren’t ignored so the Turtle is immediately destroyed anyways?

That's how I would interpret it as well.
I think "you control" should be "on your team", but maybe we've still used "you control" elsewhere. |

Cool. As long as that's not a hole we want to patch, wording seems good to me.
Some attacks are just too ferocious for your mentor to save you from. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Or you could make it "Ignore the attack" if you wanted it to be him removing them from the situation?
Would I want it to be everything I love...sure...but that's just not realistic so I'm going to focus on finding things that will make me unhappy and work on fixing those. |

It'd be avoid the attack. That gets messy, though, because 1. the attack clearly already happened (you defended, you took wounds, etc.) and 2. the ability triggers on any defeat, not just attacks

Yeah, I think I prefer keeping the ability to save them from auto-wounds and such, otherwise I think there’s some logic in “ignore the attack.”

Suggestion: change “hits than blocks” to “skulls than shields” in BB? As I understand it, an attacker’s shields aren’t “blocks,” like a defender’s skulls aren’t “hits.” I think you want the players comparing the faces of the dice, right? So:
BREAKING BALANCE After combat against an adjacent enemy, if the enemy has more skulls than shields and Splinter is not defeated, you may inflict a wound on that enemy. |
