Re: C3G Strategy/Competitive Discussion (Blob)
My number one reevaluation candidate. If you don’t have special attacks or auto wounds, he can singlehandedly ruin your day.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: C3G Strategy/Competitive Discussion (Blob)
Yeah, Blob's a bastard. Not worthy of a reeval, though, I've also had times he's buckled surprisingly fast. I don't want to get too reeval happy - he's just a strong pick.

Re: C3G Strategy/Competitive Discussion (Blob)
Haven't played as him much, but I fear the day one of the guys I play with finds out how obnoxious he can be to deal with!
He's gotta be up there in regards to durability for the point cost, I don't know who's more efficient than him off the top of my head. |

Re: C3G Strategy/Competitive Discussion (Blob)
Dick Grayson Robin would be the only candidate IMO.

Re: C3G Strategy/Competitive Discussion (Blob)
Robin's more obnoxious to me, honestly, because 1) he's cheaper, 2) you can't just get round it by getting a bigger hammer, 3) SAs don't help, and 4) Daring Decoy and Stuck are both pretty annoying powers, and 5) he naturally bonds thanks to a power on his card.

Stuck On You
3 life with 3 defense 1 shield blocks all is good (although gets worse against a multi attacker more than Blob does) but I think he's worse if you're trying to lock down a figure. That's what blob can do. Get someone who can move figures and stick them all to Blob preferably while he's on height. It will be an absolute pain. Synergistically, outcast builds are the best for him but I've had a good deal of success with him in a Zemo pod.

Re: C3G Strategy/Competitive Discussion (Blob)
I used Blob quite successfully against Bats's Black Lantern army.
The Stuck power can completely change games, helping to protect your leader figures or just trapping an opponent in a vulnerable position. After designing a similar character, I realized that Blob is likely underpriced. He's incredibly difficult to kill without special attacks or autowounds, and even then he's got 6 life. His biggest weakness is probably his low move - any way to augment that (road, movement bonding, carry powers like Angel or Nightcrawler II) can make him a real force to be reckoned with. |

Re: C3G Strategy/Competitive Discussion (Blob)
Yeah, similar to Angel Blob's one of the top units in the game for what he does. As such I wouldn't change anything about him at this point. As already mentioned he's best when you build a plan around him, either someone to throw figures into engagement with him (Magneto II) or someone who can boost his mobility without putting OM's on his card.

Re: C3G Strategy/Competitive Discussion (Blob)
Angel, Professor X, Magneto (II), Blob, Iceman for 1,000. If the enemy doesn't have auto-wounds or big special attacks, you won before you rolled initiative.

Or if your figures are not small or medium.
Like a Dinosaur army. Though they are probably still losing that battle. |

Re: C3G Strategy/Competitive Discussion (Blob)
I'd take Professor X or Cyclops (II) as a Blob leader over any Outcast stuff if it were a highly competitive situation.
