Oh yeah, you're in a house on the beach, about a half mile away from the camp.

I search the house to see if I notice anything that might be a clue about the identity of the doctor. I'm good at finding hiding places from all my days of hiding, um, substances ....

Lana, who had been expecting some high tech gadget, is disappointed. She makes a few calls and tries to get interest from UCLA marine biology or someone else to come look at this thing. If nobody else is around at this late hour, she'll call the police and tell them about the massive dead octopus. Presumably they'd be able to get some expert to come have a look at this.

I imagine this takes a couple of hours, but Lana doesn't mind. This is the only lead she has, as far as she can tell.

Rockstar, remembering he doesn't have his van and that he doesn't like walking, texts his current address to the group.

I wonder if we could fit the octopus in the back of the van.

"Easy on the buttons bro."
If there is any kind of electronics I will jump in and try to hack out any information.
If nothing I will alternate through my Sense Vibrations power, looking for magic, evil intentions and energies.
"Looks like we are going to need a way to handle a Teleporter. That is unless we are going to join. Dibs on New York."

Obvious play here, dude. We're going to pretend to join, figure out what they're all about, then do 'em rotten.

"Oh yes, I already calculated you would say that but I like to hear you say it.
Teleporters are tough. You have to take them out fast, by surprise. We really need a plan to deal with that guy when the time comes."

You recording me or somethin'? Sounds like this Porter guy is a job for our resident Speedster. I'll let you tell him.

"This device does not have the memory to facilitate recording audio. I could hack into the voice mail and record to that but it would not be secure."

Since the rest of the team seems to have handled the octopus situation, Kara heads back to the van, ditches her staff, pulls on a sweatshirt (to hide her superhero costume), and then goes to mingle with the crowd.

She finds someone close to her age, and who looks like a local. That was something! Have you ever seen an octopus like that before?

(She's trying to figure out if attacks like this have become common, or if the octopus is a new development in whatever evil plan is afoot.)

OK, we got Rockstar and Light Man checking out the house, Lana calling a marine biologist, and Kara mingling among the homeless asking questions. What's everyone else doing? Just waiting?

So the house is just a small beach house but with security cameras in every room, a few snacks and drinks in the fridge and with multiple deadbolts locked from the inside. There's no personal items at all for clues but Light Man enters the camera system and can see that all data is being transmitted by microwave (dish on the roof) to another dish on the roof of the 73-story US Bank tower downtown.

A marine biologist (Delia Rogers) is very interested to see an octopus of the size Lana describes and comes very quickly to examine it. She remarks about the enlarged gland affecting the nervous system of the octopus, which may have caused its strange behavior. She insists on taking the specimen to her lab.

Kara finds everyone shocked by the giant octopus but then again, it's just another strange event that's been happening lately. "At least none of us were taken tonight," one of them remarks.
