If they were Unique like Airborne Elite it could work similar to the removing the Grenade marker. I do like the once per game direction though to make them different from SHIELD Agents even more. Have it easier to use, but limited.

Although, they have a range of 4... so they're chucking spears regardless of the special attack. Unless that's meant to be something else.

Yeah, I don't like a normal range of 4 either. These girls don't have an infinite supply of spears hidden in their braziers.

To be fair though, we have figures that have endless supplies of thrown weapons already.

Pumpkin Bombs, Batarangs and Ninja Stars are all things that can be stashed in brazier. Not recommend.

Right. All of our infinite weapons so far are things that can be easily concealed. Spears... not so much.

They all have to be unengaged and have LOS and range on the same defending figure, though, which is a practical limit for how often the power will be used in the game. They also have one life each, so they'll often be killed off before being a part of two many attacks on a figure-by-figure basis. I agree they should absolutely be melee, though. I'm definitely against going unique squad here, though.
Maybe a once per game power that would let you Spear Volley with all of your Amazon Warriors? (Or something like up to 9?)

I could definitely go with a Once Per Game Special Attack and melee normal attack. Maybe with that as a special attack, you can simply add 1 to the attack for each Amazon Warrior chosen to be part of the attack. That would be a cool and powerful way to get off a big SA.

So here's what we've hashed out so far:

AMAZON BATTLE CRY
After taking a turn, if an Amazon you control inflicted one or more wounds with a normal attack this turn, you may move up to 3 Amazon Warriors you control up to 4 spaces each.

SPEAR VOLLEY SPECIAL ATTACK
Range 4. Attack 3 x Special.
Start the game with 1 white Spear Marker on this card for all Amazon Warriors you control. Instead of attacking normally with any Amazon Warriors, you may remove the Spear Marker and choose an opponent's figure that is not engaged with any Amazon Warrior you control. For each unengaged Amazon Warrior you control within 4 clear sight spaces of the chosen figure, roll 3 attack dice as one combined attack. The defending figure compares height to the lowest attacking Amazon Warrior to determine any height advantage.

Could we not word this more like the Mezzodemon Warmongers power and let you have a Marker for each figure you control?

At the start of the game, place 1 copper Exoskeleton marker on Mezzodemon Warmongers Army Card for each Mezzodemon Warmonger figure in your Army. After a Mezzodemon Warmonger rolls defense dice against a normal attack, you may remove 1 Exoskeleton marker from its Army Card to ignore all wounds inflicted by that attack.

So would you be allowed to continue with the SA as long as you had makers available?

I never really liked that power on the Mezzos because the same figure could be attacked over and over again and use all the markers, which doesn't feel right.

Yes, and you could go with something along the lines of: "Remove up to 3 Spear Markers. For each Spear Marker removed. . ."
