DOUBLE SHOT

During her many adventures with the Young Avengers, Kate refined her fighting style and superhero identity. Fighting alongside him, Kate would go on to earn Clint Barton's (begrudging) approval. Hawkeye has become recognized as one of the best archers in the universe, and a true hero!

The power has been tightened from Rookie to Young Avengers faction to avoid possible OP combos with Young Justice heroes.

I think one more looksie at wording and she can go straight to carding.

I was wondering about that Young Avengers call out. I'm not too concerned about her joining up with the YJ Rookies. It's a single ranged attack that could set up a -1 defense modifier for the following attack. It could be fun to mix and match the teams of Rookies form different publishers.

I was mostly taking a note from the Titans faction thread so if crossover stuff isn't too much, I'd love to see it.

I think she's one that should stay Young Avengers and Archers honestly. If she works for Rookies then Nightwing would recruit her and you could have Titan + Hawkeye, Titan + Hawkeye, Titans Go in a round.

hmmmm... "plan" might be generous. I have some loose thoughts I need to get down. Probably don't have time tonight, but I put it on my whiteboard so I could keep track of it.

I think keeping Kate largely the same is a good starting point, she's one of the stronger cards in the faction (in terms of effectiveness and just good design).

It does feel a little weird for her relationship with Hawkeye in particular to get broadened out to any Archer while her relationship with her team gets faction-locked.

I feel like her sort of "who am I likely to show up alongside" odds run the other way. Much more likely to crop up alongside other younger heroes she hasn't worked with before vs other archers.

Are we worried about that being a problem for her, or a problem for the Titans? Right now since she keys off Archers you could probably smuggle her into a Titans build anyway since I imagine they'll have a few options there.

That's the plan. Or at least someone is recruiting. Not sure who that would be as I am not familiar with this team.

Not sure how to have a Hawkeye hook for her outside of going Archer keyword. Would you suggest named dropping him specifically?

Fwiw, I prefer Young Avengers to Rookies in general for her.

I think Ronin made some good points, I would like to change it to "a Unique Rookie or Clint Barton". Her history really is with Clint, I wouldn't see her same dynamic with Merlyn or any other random archer. The inverse of her just always working with other younger heroes is also true.

On the Hawkeye, Hawkeye, Titans Go rounds. It would be competitive yeah, but she makes it a full stop, Aqualad and maybe others in 2.0 can do similar things to get some strong play out of that faction. She is a good generalist and should be cool to throw in a few different armies.

Lastly do we want any official Avengery things I think she's been on the big team at this point, but haven't read recent Avengers. I think this design hones in on enough and is already doing enough, but just thought'd I'd bring it up.
