Also very good.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Of course the real solution is to binge watch both of them.

Re: Movies: What did You Watch Last Night?
Just got back from Aquaman, which was much better than I expected it to be! And yes, stay for one embedded credit scene. They kept true to comics old and new, and yet the film was not too relentless, but paced very nicely between character development, plot and action.
The DC movies are now resembling the Marvel one in style, opening titles, methods, and even post credit scenes. I recognized actors from the older Spiderman series and Ant Man II. I shouldn't be surprised, since that happened to the comics themselves a long time ago! Last edited by chas; January 9th, 2019 at 08:53 PM. |

Re: Movies: What did You Watch Last Night?
I agree Chas. The pacing was good and I liked how they did the back story a little bit at a time as it played into the story.

Re: Movies: What did You Watch Last Night?
I'm going to have to go see that soon. I went and saw Bumblebee on opening weekend and didn't want to try and catch both on the same weekend. I was interested though, just not sure why they both released head to head like that.

My daughters and I just finished watching The Bird Box. We liked it. Sandra Bullock is one of my favorite actresses anyway, so that's an extra bonus

Just rewatched Oldboy for the umpteenth time, and it still gets me every time.
Looking forward to watching the new Black Mirror this weekend. I've heard it's pretty good! (No spoilers please) |

I watched Downsized today for some reason. It was duller than dirt.

Re: Movies: What did You Watch Last Night?
Finally watched Solo tonight on Netflix. It wasnt as bad as I had heard it was but I couldnt help to think that I wasnt watching star wars. It just didnt feel like a star wars movie to me. Otherwise it was ok. I was painting with it playing in the background. Overall glad I didnt buy it on dvd or blueray.

Yeah it was no Rogue 1. I thought the actor was great as young Solo. It was missing something. I only got that SW feeling once during one of the fight scenes.

Re: Movies: What did You Watch Last Night?
I'll have to check Solo out. Even if it's only ok, I don't mind. I'm not a big Star Wars geek , so the feeling of it being Star Warsy isn't that big of a deal.
Over the course of the past few weeks, we watched the Maze Runner trilogy. We enjoyed it. It wasn't great, as the dialogue wasn't inspiring, but it had some good action and some neat ideas.
