Re: Would you pay this much?
I saw one squad of Gladiatrons go for $36.15 on ebay. Crazy.
In other news, I really wish they'd reprint wave 4. |

Because if most people are unaware of the product it wont sell If it doesn't sell in stores, stores will drop them if stores drop them fans have to use the internet if people use the internet they might resort to ebay and the like if people shop on ebay, WotC doesn't make any money If WotC doesn't make any money, Heroscape Fails If Heroscape Fails, the game ends If the game ends, millions of scapers everywhere will commit suicide And I want to live! So please WotC print and rerelease your amazing sets and make them sure their available to the public by any means necessary so we don't have to pay $200 for thaelank tundra on amazon, Heroscape will thrive, and we can all live happy scape filled lives! Sorry had to get that out... |

Look on the bright side, shipping is only $5. If I buy 2, I wonder it they'll combine shipping.

Re: Would you pay this much?
I do have to say one thing about the crazy pricing is that there are too many of the classic heroscapers buying up all of the pieces. I am no socialist but I would appreciate the fair chance. I used to play a couple years back but now my 11 year old got completely excited about it.
I am trying to catch up and get the few expansions that I missed and holy moly, how many Ticalla Jungles does one person really need? Capitalism is awesome and wonderful but as a community we should support each other and new, younger fans a bit better than that. If WoTC won't help the game out by a reprint, and I have to explain to my son and his friends that the only way to get Thaelank Tundra is by paying 200 bucks...there is no way that their interest will sustain. We aren't missing that many pieces so the prospect of getting something new and the hunt for the old pieces is exciting but not if we have to sell a kidney to get it. |

Re: Would you pay this much?
Even when it was released the Tundra was NOT easy to find in my area of the country. I don't think the print run on that set was high at all.
DUND is underestimated and under-rated. |

Re: Would you pay this much?
So does WOTC have a "suggestion box" or something similar? I would think they would have to realize there's a demand for some of these hard-to-find items and even do a limited release? I understand if the Toys-R-Us items can't be reproduced; but the other items could be sold over original retail price and I would think they could easily recoup production costs. I'm almost surprised there isn't a WOTC spokesperson on this website...!

He got promoted and no one really took his place.
I don't need no instructions to know how to rock.

I also think some crazyness like this is GOOD for the product. There are a certain number of people who like to collect and place value on items. Personally I don't see the thrill but it does draw attention to the hobby. Look what it did for MtG and Beenie babies! Having every product available all the time would also discourage a lot of new people as they wouldn't know where to start AND they would think they need all of it to play. In other words they need to be "hook" in the first place and overwelming them would be a turn off. There is one big problem brewing though IMO. With RotV not available for who knows how long Terrain is going to be a big problem. I personally believe the D&D sets have brought TONS of new customers (and done a resonably good job of keep existing ones satisfied). Some (if not most) will want to branch out into the rest of the scape but ALL will need a variety of Terrain, and lots of it! Lets face it, Terrain was already hard to buy seperately BEFORE this new influx of customers. I think it's going to get crazy in a few months unless WotC gets out a Master set with lots of terain again (or gets RotV reprinted fast enough)!!!!
