Character Bio - The mutant revolutionary known as Magneto has been responsible for countless acts of violence over the years, but when he tore the adamantium from Wolverine's bones, Charles Xavier had finally had enough. Xavier telepathically reached into Magneto's brain and shut him down. Problem, seemingly, solved.

But the contact had ugly consequences. Xavier finally lashing out with all his repressed anger intermingled with aspects of Magneto's psyche and festered quietly in the back of Xavier's mind. Eventually a new persona emerged there, calling itself Onslaught. Onslaught, with all the powers of Xavier and Magneto at his disposal, took over Xavier's body, then liberated himself from it to become a fully independent entity of psionic energy.

Onslaught hijacked the Sentinels in a bid at wiping out humanity, and nearly succeeded, but the combined efforts of the Avengers, X-Men, and Fantastic Four were enough to bring him down.

Before moving, you may choose one figure within 4 clear sight spaces of Onslaught. Roll the 20-sided die. If you roll 9 or higher, throw the chosen figure by placing it on any empty space within 4 spaces of its original placement. After the figure is placed, it receives one wound. Thrown figures do not take any leaving engagement attacks. When Onslaught uses his Magnetic Onslaught, he may use it one additional time.

He had a funky citadel in NYC. Maybe something to emulate, but it might be tricky to evoke too closely.

Alternatively, his big moment was attacking the city with robots, so anything that captures the "big damn city battle" vibe works.

Astral plane stuff also would work thematically, but I figure it makes sense to save that for the astral projection version. (Which is also why I moved away from the comic art I'd been using in workshopping... it's the best page of him, but it's also doing the astral plane thing).

What’s the difference between magnetic onslaught and Magnetos magnetic Assault?

Just the timing - Onslaught's happens before he moves and doesn't replace his normal attack.

Minor note on basing the mini - he has a bit of a forward lean, so he doesn't stand up on his own. I just weighted the back of his base a bit and he's fine, though.



(The weight, in my case, is a stack of nickels that I slapped a thin coat of paint over so that they wouldn't catch the eye from across the room)
