Object Bio - When the brilliant pitchmen at Corona Motors offered to pay Spider-Man to build a car that would (somehow) promote Corona Motors, Spider-Man told them (correctly) that this was a dumb idea! But it turned out he needed rent money, so he accepted after all, and enlisted Johnny Storm's aid in creating the Spider-Mobile with Corona's funding.

Sure enough, the Spider-Mobile proved very dumb in practice. Spider-Man had little practical use for the car and was a terrible driver. He crashed it into the Hudson in very short order and left it to rot, but it was recovered by The Tinkerer, who tried to use it against Spider-Man. The Spider-Mobile has also been commandeered or recreated by Overdrive and Deadpool in the years since, and remains an embarrassment to its creator.
