My thought on the side walls is Command Strips from 3M. If you're not familiar, they are Velcro strips with super good adhesive. Stick to the wall and your "emergency exit door". Then you can...

Subway entrances seem ideal for passing to an underground map. Can just use a Transit number again.

Interesting. I more or less agree with the placement of the elevator and stairs. That would keep someone in the stairwell protected from ranged attacks but not melee attacks from someone right...

If you made them side by side, it would just take out a 1x4 footprint. Seems really accurate to real life.

Yes, I think you have it right. Actually, they are still spaced out the same, but they could be right up to the wall and possibly align better with the more spaces on the roof. :2cents:

You could always use the tile top hexes, as the Warehouse did, instead of the full hexes. Also, what about a 3 tile pyramid shaped elevator? Yodaking's post about the ladders and turbo lift has...
