As the DCU's foremost computer hacking expert and all-around brainiac, Barbara takes on the identity of Oracle and leaves the confines of the Batman family. She uses her newfound prowess to aid the vigilantes of Gotham, the Justice League, the Justice Society, The Birds of Prey (a group she founds with Black Canary), and even a series of new Batgirls. Her computer skills allow her to help in areas such as surveillance, information gathering, tracking criminals down, masking heroic identities, and circumventing villainous security protocols. It is not until she's confined to a wheelchair that Barbara Gordan finds her greatest strengths - not as Batgirl, but as Oracle. _________________________________________________________________ -Rulings and Clarifications-

Re: The Book of Oracle
NAME = ORACLE
SECRET IDENTITY = BARBARA GORDON SPECIES = HUMAN UNIQUENESS = UNIQUE HERO CLASS = STRATEGIST PERSONALITY = BRILLIANT SIZE/HEIGHT = MEDIUM 4 LIFE = 4 MOVE = 4 RANGE = 1 ATTACK = 4 DEFENSE = 4 POINTS = 110 TACTICAL SURVEILLANCE When rolling for initiative, you may add 3 to your roll for each Order Marker on this card. SECRET ATTACK PLAN Before any figure you control attacks with a normal attack, you may reveal an "X" Order Marker on this card and add one automatic skull to that attack. CONTINGENCY PLAN While Oracle is in play, when an Army Card you control has all of its figures destroyed, you may immediately remove any unrevealed Order Markers from that card and place them on any other card you control. |

Reserved for future awesome comment.

Re: The Book of Oracle - Design Phase
Gordon
Pair her with Loki. Wow! So it will need to say "your" instead of "the" referencing X OM. With her cheerleader powers not needing line of sight, she might come in higher than 110. Salvaging lost OMs is potentially a very big deal. Nice Strategist powers. |
Re: The Book of Oracle - Design Phase
Shout out to Necroblade for the Contingency Plan power that this is just a slight tweak of. And thanks to Griff for all the help putting this design together. :-)
Edit: 110 is a pulled out of thin air guestimate, so you might be right. :-) Will fix Gordon. |
Re: The Book of Oracle - Design Phase
What about "an" X Order Marker? No reason she can't use the power twice when she's paired with Loki.

Re: The Book of Oracle - Design Phase
CONTINGENCY PLAN
If Oracle is still in play, when all figures on an Army Card you control are destroyed, you may immediately remove any unrevealed Order Markers from that card and place them on any other card you control instead. I think the timing here is a tad unclear. Also, the "instead" is weird and unnecessary. How about this: CONTINGENCY PLAN When an Army Card you control has all of its figures destroyed, you may immediately remove any unrevealed Order Markers from that card and place them on any other card you control, as long as Oracle is still in play. |
Re: The Book of Oracle - Design Phase
I'm fine with that update once the "breathing period" is up. :-) Thanks, Griff.

Re: The Book of Oracle - Design Phase
Hands down number 7 for me.

Re: The Book of Oracle - Design Phase
I think that might be the best as well. I like how #6 has the computers and the Escrimina, but there's a bit too much boobage there for the character, IMO.

Re: The Book of Oracle - Design Phase
I love it. & I love #7 comic. (that's the one I picked out almost a year ago :D)
