Custom Figure Mods & Repaints
I've been posting pics of my figures in other threads for a while now, figured I aught to get them organized into one thread. I also have a few new figures I've been working on that I want to share once I get the photos done. For now I'll just get all the older pics added to this thread. They won't be in order of completion, but at least they will all be in one place.

Re: Custom Figure Mods & Repaints
First up is my Deadpool custom figure. He was made using a Solo figure.

I look forward to seeing what you have got!
wow that Deadpool turned out great! |
Re: Custom Figure Mods & Repaints
A re-based Ghostrider figure, otherwise no other custom work. Just used one of the thin parts of a clix base for his base. Then I used some tape to help create the painted lines.

Re: Custom Figure Mods & Repaints
Here is a bunch of figures I did all at once.
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b3...e/IMG_1494.jpg The Doc Ock figure was wearing a black suit but I thought he would look better in green. The Warmachine figure is a Handful of Heroes figure, as is the gold Iron Man suit. I used a Iron Monger figure to make the Hulkbuster suit, and then that large green robot I am using as my Green Construct Mech figure. When I started on that I did not realize the actual figure used was much bigger and double based. I don't remember the figure name, it was just something I found by skimming through the Mechwarrior minis line. The last one is my stealth suit Iron Man repaint, I wasn't paying close enough attention when doing that one either and ended up painting up the wrong figure based on what is used from the C3G card. |
Re: Custom Figure Mods & Repaints
Here is my Gorilla City Warriors custom figures. They were some figures from the Horrorclix line, listed as Lab Gorilla. As you can see they have a few alternate sculpts of the same figure.
Here is what they looked like compared to a real Gorilla City Warrior figure before custom work began. http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b3...e/IMG_1575.jpg After I removed the cages and some of the other add ons. http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b3...e/IMG_1576.jpg Final product after a paint job. http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b3...e/IMG_1578.jpg |
Re: Custom Figure Mods & Repaints
Hawkmen of Thanagar repaints of a Hawkman figure along with a different Hawkman sculpt and Hawkgirl.
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b3...e/IMG_1039.jpg I only made 4 Hawkmen of Thanagar at the time and later wished I had made 6 instead. Someday I'll get around to making 2 more. |
Re: Custom Figure Mods & Repaints
Here are my Hired Guns repaints. I only did a custom paint job on 3 of the 4 of the, the one in blue is how they come from Heroclix. I have been thinking about going back and giving that blue one a paint job too though as he does not look at good as the others.

Re: Custom Figure Mods & Repaints
Another group of figures I did all at once.
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b3...ps58920e84.jpg The Red Hulk and Magneto are both Handful of Hero figures. You might recognize the blue wrymling figure that I use for my Lockheed mini. Just shaved off the horns and spikes, then cut out a section of it's wings too before repainting it. The last one is my Kilowog custom figure. I followed the plan posted on Boardgame geek here. It is just a Mammoth figure with a Warhammer Ork head shaved down a bit. I know a more affordable Kilowog figure in now available from the latest Green Lantern Heroclix line, but it was still a fun project. |

Re: Custom Figure Mods & Repaints
And a second group of figures I did at the same time as the group above.
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b3...ps34f8e73a.jpg Mandarin was another Handful of Heroes figure. Mr. Zsasz was done using the figure suggested in his book. I just wish I would have made his kill count markings in red instead of black. I realized after I had already started putting them down in black that red would have been much better since they are scars after all. The figure on the far right is a Boon figure from the Indy Heroclix line. I intend to use him as both my Ubu and custom Master Win Chiu Wu figure so it was a 2 for 1 deal, C3G & Classic. The figure on the far left was just a Reapers Miniature I have had for a while and had started painting but needed to finish. I would like to make him a classic Heroscape card some day. He will be my dragon slayer. |
