The Book of Orange Construct (Glomulus)

Character Bio - Glomulus was once a being used to clean a tavern on Okaara. He was only allowed out of his cage to eat the food that fell on the floor. One day, when he was released, he ran afoul of an Okaaran warrior who threatened to eat him. Glomulus in turn ate the warrior, then ate everyone in the tavern. Free, he made his way to the Forest of Weeds, where the orange light had been buried long ago. Following the smell of Larfleeze's meal, Glomulus entered Larfleeze's palace, where he was consumed by the Orange Construct Blume. Glomulus's identity was replicated and stolen, and Glomulus became an Orange Construct.

As an Orange Construct, Glomulus served Larfleeze mindlessly and faithfully, though he gradually developed sentience of his own. Glomulus traveled with Kyle Rayner alongside Saint Walker, Arkillo, Bleez, Fatality, and Munk as part of the New Guardians. Kyle Rayner grew fond of the diminutive creature, affectionately calling him "Glommy" during their time together.

Subtract 2 from the roll if the chosen figure has the Super Strength special power. If you roll 14 or higher, the chosen figure receives 2 wounds. After destroying a glyph or figure with this special power, you may remove a Wound Marker from this card.

Alright, so here is Glomulus the Orange Construct. Glomulus is a little guy that eats much bigger things. I'm pretty happy with his special power, though the d20 could always be tweaked if needed.

Base stats and point value could really be anything we want. I'd prefer to keep his base attack lower since his main strength is eating things. Ideally he'll end up at a different point value than 100 since that's where the Orange Construct (Stolen Identity) is at, but it's not a big deal if he ends up there too. I'm happy seeing where playtesting takes him.

He should add a nice punch to Orange Lantern armies so that they can start the game with an Orange Construct already on the board. And he could easily fit into other armies as well to munch on annoying glyphs or common/squad figures.

Very excited about this one! I think he's worth more than 100 points right now. His power is really strong with the potential to deal 4 wounds to anyone in one turn with good rolls and automatically kill two common figures before attacking. Otherwise, the theme seems good, though. Just may need a few tweaks. :)

Is he supposed to be able to eat glyphs that are equipped by an adjacent figure or only glyphs on adjacent spaces?

He shouldn't be able to eat equipped glyphs. Only ones that are on the ground.

Yeah, he's more than 100 points as is. The thing about C3G is it has some fairly expensive common squads. He could take out 130 points of Lex Corp Security or Thunders of Quard in one turn without rolling any dice, and heal while doing so. They would have to be adjacent to each other, but even if it took two different turns to eat two of them, that is still really efficient. Dalek Drones are 150 for 2, Skrull Warriors are 110 for 2, and the Arthrian Invaders are a 180 point 2 figure common squad, although they can be respawned.

I'm assuming the wound marker removal isn't a requirement for the 2nd use of the power, so if he's unwounded he can still use it twice?

He can in the current wording though. A glyph equipped by an adjacent figure is considered adjacent.

Yeah, rolls can be tweaked. He'll be a little kamikaze I think with only 3 Life - one good hit from a mid-high hero can take him out - but munching on DOs or squad figures can do a ton of damage.

Solid on the overall direction. Numbers might use a tweak but I'm happy with testing
