The figure used for this unit is a Heroclix figure from the Hypertime set.
Its model number and name are #094-096 / Doomsday.

Character Bio - Born on the planet Krypton during a time when only the strongest creatures could survive, Doomsday was the result of a rapid natural selection process bred to hate all life. Doomsday's body is covered with vicious bony spurs that can pierce even Superman's skin. His endurance makes him almost impossible to kill. He is the epitome of villainous power and strength. With the ability to regenerate after every battle, Doomsday becomes bigger and stronger; therefore no opponent of his has ever defeated him twice.

  • Q: How do I use Evolutionary Regeneration correctly?
    A: Here's a step-by-step answer:
    • You can heal a wound by not moving or attacking with Doomsday during your turn.
    • When Doomsday is destroyed, the next time you take any turn, be sure that there are exactly 6 Wound Markers on Doomsday's card.
    • Remember that each time you reveal an Order Marker on this card (even the X Order Marker if another special power lets you reveal it) and you don't move or attack with him you get to heal Doomsday of a wound.
    • When the last Wound Marker is removed from the card, Doomsday gets to come back onto the battlefield adjacent to one figure you control.

ADAPTIVE RESISTANCE

Doomsday receives one extra defense die for each Wound Marker on this card.

EVOLUTIONARY REGENERATION
After revealing an Order Marker on this card you may remove one Wound Marker from this card if Doomsday does not move or attack this turn. When Doomsday is destroyed, begin your next turn with a total of 6 Wound Markers on this card. Order Markers may still be placed and revealed on this card. If the last Wound Marker is removed from this card while Doomsday is destroyed, immediately place Doomsday on a space adjacent to any figure you control.

SUPER LEAP 50
Instead of his normal move, Doomsday may move up to 10 spaces with Super Leap. When moving with Super Leap, Doomsday has the Flying special power, but may not move up or down more than 50 levels in a single leap. Doomsday rolls 3 fewer attack dice on any turn that he chooses to Super Leap.

I like the first comic picture for him.
I love that he's a Kryptonian and that he and Lex would make a nasty team.
I love Super Leap on him, so I'm glad you went there. Adaptive Resistance is a great power too - and thematically I love Evolutionary Regeneration, but I worry about the combination. I could really see lowering his normal defense to 5 given all the bonuses. I don't think it'll make him play weak at all, given how fast his defense will go up.
Is there a limit to the number of purple experience markers you can place on the card? For the sake of game balance, I really think there should be (and it should be a low number - 1-3).

Yeah, that's probably not that far off at this point. I think I might favor losing the Experience Marker portion all together. I think the added defense, plus the auto healing that you can use to resurrect him (I actually really, really like this idea and don't think it will be broken at all, since it requires you to keep spending Order Markers) and his normal stats are more than powerful enough.
I don't think the Experience Markers are really needed, or will necessarily be balanced.

I do worry about 7/8/9/10/11/12 defense, 7 life and regeneration. That's painful. :twisted:

For ADAPTIVE RESISTANCE, what if we lowered his defense to 6 and took the cap off of the power?

I wasn't sure about these sort of powers for D-Day, but this one is by far the best I have see. I look forward to playtesting this unit. Great work Whitey. :up:

It would have at some point, but because of his DNA, he develops a resistance to it like everything else. So I think that Whitey has covered that with Adaption.
