If You Were a Jedi...

Posted May 13th, 2009 at 05:43 PM by NecroBlade
Warning: the following is based on the Order 66 novel, part of the Republic Commando series by Karen Traviss. If you don't want anything spoiled, stop reading now.

Here's the situation:

You've been taken away from your parents and raised from a young age to believe in the Force, all that is good, and defend the galaxy from evil. You're a female Jedi. Well, recent ex-Jedi. You, along with much of the rest of the galaxy and at least a few fellow saber-swingers, feel like the Order has been falling apart lately and no longer performs as it should. Following in the footsteps of your fellow former Jedi and friend, you have just quit the Order. One of the main reasons for doing so is that you feel the other Jedi, even the Council, have no compassion for the new clone army. They are simply using them as a means of ending the war.

As a Jedi general, you, on the other hand, have gotten personal with them. You see them as men, not clones,

Image of the Week

pegasus
is back in business with his repaints of Heroscape figures, this time with his repaint of the summoning kyrie Saylind.

Blog of the Week

I bet you are asking yourself So What Is Steamroller? Well the answer is simple: It's gladiators, and lots of them. It's time for Spartacus to show us what he's made of. Three squads of Capuan Gladiators, Crixus, and Spartacus himself are apparently a potent force.

Week in Review

As you can see from the Blog of the Week, new info has been released about Wave 9. A breakdown of the units in each pack, as well as a glimpse of their powers is detailed in the first post. Join in the now 160+ pages of speculation about the latest and perhaps the greatest in the Heroscape release world.

400 Point Armies - Twin Cities Team Tourney - part 3!

Posted May 10th, 2009 at 01:17 PM by Heroscape Elffy
I'm back. Yeah. Run and scream and all that.

Team Tourney, 400 points apiece, single general army, 32 spaces to share, no glyphs.

Q9
Braxas
Otonashi
+

Blastatrons x2
Gladiatrons x2
Nakitas

Total spaces: 24
Total Points: 800

Q9
Q10
Blastatrons x1
+

Microcorp x4

or

Microcorp x3
Krav

or

Microcorp x2
Krav
Carr

or....again

Krav
Nakita
G'Nators x2

So basically, it's Vydar Day! Basically just working the agent armies over and over and over and over....etc. Q9, Braxas and Otonashi is a personal favorite to going with the Microcorp x4 army. Fun fun, right? Yep, bye.

No 9th in 2009

Posted May 7th, 2009 at 08:39 PM by NamibianScaper
Though it was quite cool to see this today, Wave 9 Info from House Mouse, I realized later that there will be no new (9th) Elf Wizard in Wave 9.

Which makes it all quite bittersweet.

Unless Kumiko is a dual-class elf ninja/wizard. Valguard got a new lizard arm on Valhalla. It's possible. It says she was "trained." Makes it sound rather recent.

Keep hoping,

So What Is Steamroller?

I have been all over Heroscapers blasting folks with Steamroller. Many of you are probably wondering what the heck is Steamroller? And an insignificant few of you are probably thinking STFU!

So anyway, I thought tonight, since I have relaxed with a glass or 3 of red wine, I would give in and let you all know what Steamroller is.

See when we are play-testing figures for Heroscape we like to try certain army builds. Some of these we build in an effort to break the system, and others we use as strong stable test choices that will create a decent challenge for any army. We like to give these armies nicknames.

When testing figures for Wave 9 there was a particular army design we like to call The Steamroller. The army got the name for two reasons.

1- This army build is powerful and can crush other armies if you're not careful. Steamroller!

2- When playing this army, it is beneficial to continually pull figures from the rear...
