FFC #6 - 'Under Consideration'

I don't know if anyone watches the progress of my fan fictions in my signature. It doesn't really matter, as it's more a place for me to congratulate myself on how much progress I'm making (or lack thereof) than anything else.

Point is, if anyone has been watching my sig, they might have noticed that for a few days it's been saying my future novels are 'under consideration'. I know you've been dying to find out what that means, so I'll explain.

For those of you who don't know, one of my first attempts at writing with actual development was a trilogy set on Feylund centered around a powerful elf named Dilmir. The trilogy is refered to as the Dilmir trilogy.

It was my first foray into actually writing with a structure, and the first time I ever really considered writing as something more than just a fun hobby. It might have been that mindset. It might have been something else. The end result was that...

C3G Interview - January 2018

C3G Interview
Good Pig
Author: LordEsenwienIV

Here is another classic interview, this time with Good Pig. This interview originally aired January 24, 2011.

As a C3G Sidekick, do you have some words of advice for the allies?

Sure. Just try to find your niche within the C3G community and be willing and able to help out wherever you are needed. I’m still a pretty new member to C3G myself, and I’m looking to grow my skills in design and would love to possibly get into map making if I had the time.

How did you get chosen to be a sidekick?

I can’t say for sure; the heroes decided on that in secret. I’ve been trying to make use of my graphic design talents within the Art Department and I’m sure that has played a hand in my fast promotion.

Do you have a favorite unit? Why is he/she

Customs Creation - January 2018

Customs Creation
Dripping with (Not Too Much!) Theme
Author: Scytale

Balance, theme, creativity, and playability are all key aspects of custom design. My previous article took a look at the aspect of balance. This article will examine how theme can—and should—affect a custom design, as well as the pitfall of becoming too enamored with it.

The original Heroscape designers decided that the theme they wanted for Heroscape was: “all themes!” Fantasy? Yep. Historical? Yes. Sci-fi? Definitely. It wouldn’t have to stop there either (though teddy bears and kitty cats might be stretching it from a classic canon perspective). Any warrior worthy of fighting on the battlefields of Valhalla is fair game.

That said, Heroscape usually sticks to tropes. For example, elves are nimble archers and magic users. While the game has its own take

Tide Pods, A Bleeding Van, and the Eternal War on Insomnia.

Posted January 20th, 2018 at 04:02 AM by flameslayer93
...sounds like the name of bad soap opera.

So, Public Service Announcement: Do not eat detergent. For starters, those things are expensive. For seconds, eating soap has long been considered a reasonable punishment for young ones who cursed.

These things have been turned into a joke across the internet (ok, facebook). That’s fine, but unlike some white shoes, various stores are actually putting these things in those hard plastic cases. Is that seriously neccesary? Are dopey teenagers actually going in and shoplifting little soap pod thingies? The next step will be stealing washing machines and trying to drive them down the road. Don’t do that either, different motors.

As far using the properly goes, is the “plastic” casing supposed to dissolve in water? I hope it does, because otherwise folks are gonna have plastic hunks at the bottom of their washers...

So last Saturday, my van’s power steering fluid was leaking....

Well met!

Just back from Jamaica, and riffing off of our postponed Tablelewalker HoB game, here is an adventurous scenario of exploration - and death - called

The Forbidden Cathedral!

"Then it is agreed. The truce will last until the Undead threat is ended, and the Treasure has been distributed evenly among us." As he left the room, he thought, "Or close enough to ended, with enough of the Treasure in our hands."
