Week @ Heroscapers, April 14th 2011

Image of the Week.
The ingenuity and talent that this community displays never ceases to amaze me. I wish that I had half of the talent that some of the custom makers that we featured here. The first custom, and our image of the week, is Orion's Birch Trees. It's incredible how something so simple can just bring a battlefield to life like never before. Check out more images of the trees, and Orion's other customs in his thread.
Map of the Week.
Well we're back and ready to show you the largest map available for download. No, I am not talking about Dr. Weirdscaper's massive maps. I am talking about Eckels' Heaven and Hell! It's approximately 3' wide, and just over 6' tall. It's truly gigantic, and it uses some creative structure to make it work, but it will stand strong if built. It uses 38 Rise of the Valkyries, 30 Road to the Forgotten Forests, 30 Volcarren Wastelands, 30 Fortress of the Archkyrie and 9 Thaelink Tundras. You can see more pictures of the map here.
Custom Unit of the Week.
Larger Image.
For this week's Unit of the Week we will show you Dok's Aquillian giant, Zog. This is one of most original, interesting, and balanced customs I have seen in a long time. It's also probably the first practical application of a vehicle unit in Heroscape. Check out the rest of Dok's customs, all of which are equally impressive, at his thread.
Custom Terrain of the Week.
Don't let his modesty fool you. Wriggz's "costume" creations are as amazing to look at as they are practical for an actual game. Be sure to check out the rest of his customs, and maybe consider making some for your own table.
Pyre's Trash to Treasure.
Be sure to check out Lord Pyre's Trash to Treasure custom unit contest, Superhero edition and you could win a repainted Heroclix Controller.

Nice work. I love checking out each Week@HS. Thanks for your time on these.
(Alright, I have to ask, if Heaven and Hell is known to be stable and buildable, why aren't I seeing any pictures of the actual thing --I mean, who could make that, ensure that it works, and not want to take a picture? I know I couldn't have resisted taking a photo or two...) |

I think it would be more poetic if he would have called it "The Divine Comedy". But still an awesome map

*W*O*W*...that's awesome - all of it: the map the terrain, even the zog (btw: is he officially sanctioned yet? then why not if he's so balanced, haha!). Obviously HeroScape can LIVE ON after Hasborg and WotC.
