C3V Public Announcements Thread
This thread lists all the units C3V has released: C3V Books of Index.
This is where you can go to get started with C3V (Classic Customs Creators of Valhalla): Welcome to C3V!!!.

C3V presents the last installment of Wave CV1, also known as:

WAVE 14
Thormun's Reprieve

WEEK #4

The last three fantastic cards of the wave are here for your 'Scaping pleasure!

M-43 RESISTANCE FIGHTERS

Who are the Mariedians? How did they fight the Soulborg? These were burning questions as we began to design units that were still unrepresented from the Heroscape canon. We felt the Mariedians needed tactics that allowed them to bypass screens of Gladiatrons and Deathreavers.

Thus, Priority Targeting was born. Now, even when engaged, they still can attack the units shooting at them.

Their role as resistance fighters inspired Guerrilla Tactics, which allows other Mariedians to move up for each Resistance Fighter that attacked.

The figures used for this unit are Star Wars Minis figures from the Legacy of the Force set. The model numbers and names are: Old Republic Scout (03), Human Scoundrel (47), and Old Republic Recruit (02)

KIRA JAX

Now that we have the Mariedians started, they need a hero. How about a hero who uses her ingenuity and technology to bypass the special abilities of her opponents? So we developed Exploit Weakness. Kira can run past Gladiatrons to get closer to the Blastatrons that are shooting her friends.

The figure used for this unit is an AT-43 figure. Its model number and name is UNA Captain H. Newton.

VARKAANAN BLADE DANCERS

Finally, we have the Varkaanan Blade Dancers. When we first saw these figures we knew we had to develop a C3V unit for them, but they didn't look like standard Heroscape wolves.

So where do they come from? This was when our Fiction Team developed the idea of another race from Grut. As a rival to the swarming Orcs, they needed an anti-swarm power.

So Varkaanan Blade Defense was born: the more you try to gang up on these gals, the harder it is to kill them. The Orcs have disengage; how can you counter that ability? By giving them the opportunity to take a better defensive position with Defensive Vault.

The figures used for this unit are Confrontation figures from the Wolfen of Yllia set. Its model number and name is Wolfen of Yllia Sacred Vestals Attachment Box.

That's all for Wave 14 (CV1), but Wave 15 is already well underway, as is a special Large Expansion as well. Visit our Public Playtesting thread to help make those releases happen sooner.

Also, be sure to stop by our Public Information thread for news on minis we're using for upcoming releases so you can get a jump on the shopping competition. Finally, October will see the inauguration of our Public Access program--who knows, you could help design the next C3V hero.

Nice to see some new and different units for Aquila! Interesting counters to the swarms of orcs and glad-blast combos.

These look pretty cool. I wish I had some Glads and more Deathreavers now. I can't wait to have a game using all of these new units.

So, Wave 15 done yet?

Thanks for the kind words, guys.

@ Dalu ~ Thanks for starting the Book. The other two remain up for grabs.
@ Neo ~ Yeah, that official Aquilla background is something.
@ Quack ~ Heh. We're well on our way.

Funny you should ask. If you're thirsty for more, help us play-test. The more feed back the better. If each person who comments here signed up for one round of play-testing, the process of getting you guys more stuff to play with sooner would increase significantly.

Oh look, a convenient link.

Just something to think about.

This wave is so cool!

Now all we need to do is get rid of the disclamier on top and get this wave approved by some company and be able to produce hundreds all over the place.

Hey one can dream can he?

So I've asked a couple times, but the answers seem to contradict each other, SO: Should I buy the Wolfen holding two swords or the Wolfen holding individual weapons?
