Blogs vs Threads

This past week I've been thinking about the differences between Blogs and Threads with regard to posting maps. I was seeing the situation highly in favor of the Thread approach, but I thought I'd take the question to the community just to be sure I wasn't biased. The discussion here pretty much confirmed what I was thinking, so from now on you'll find all of my new maps in Nooblar's Map Thread.
The blogs are a great idea for one-off commentaries and things for the community to highlight, and I appreciate the admins' work on the feature. I guess it just isn't the best approach for displaying maps.
