Well met!

Before last night, I had not played any Heroscape since 11/8, as my friend Chas was in Europe on vacation. We (with Sherman) had preordered from Wave 10, and this was my first opportunity to play with my new Deathreavers and Warriors of Ashra. Chas built Dignan's Slash and Burn for the occasion. I had never seen this map before, and I was very impressed with its elegant simplicity.

Although Chas is not a member of the Valhalla Society, his pool for the Long Island Heroscapers League tourney is relatively gunless. He fielded his usual Aubrien Archers/Venoc Warlord/Elite Onyx Vipers, augmented or replaced with his new Granite and Sasquatch guys and his own WoA, over the three 600 point games we played.

I anticipated that the Deathreavers would make everything better, and they did, but what I did not anticipate was how good the WoA would be, having considered them as a nice throw-in with the long-coveted, aforementioned Deathreavers. Even...
