YEAR IN REVIEW
***C3V***

Well it has been a great year for Fanscape. Wave 14 was released with, IMO, considerable success. And the new waves are coming along splendidly. C3V has released information about several figures that we will be using for C3V units, I suggest you check them out and subscribe to the thread to get up to date info on the C3V sculpts.

C3V Public Information Thread .

This thread will have release information added to it when the ERB decides that we will be definitely using a particular sculpt. We hope by getting the information out early we can avoid another Omegacron situation. (When the C3V ERB decided to use that sculpt, there were over 150 available, then when we finally released the information to the public…they were all gone )

C3V and SoV Books of Index

Also, the C3V finally started up the P.A.M. program (Public Access Member). This is where we have a vote on Heroscapers that have show interest in the C3V and grant them a 2-month memebrship to the Inner Sanctum and give them a shot at designing a Unit, Editing a Unit, or Making a Army Card in the Art Department. So far our first two winners dalu and Ollie have been great additions and our third winner, Clancambell is contributing nicely. Congrats to the winners!!
Stay tuned to the Public Announcements for a new PAM vote coming soon.

How do you get nominated for PAM do you ask? Well the best way is to show interest in the C3V project by signing up to playtest units in production and add your contributions to the SoV/C3V area.

Right now the Playtesting department is saturated with units that are ready to put through its paces, but we have a backlog of units being tested by the public. Our Public Playtests are very important to the C3V because you guys tend to find things all of us may not have seen, you show us tendencies towards a particular build with a prospective C3V unit and your input guides to decisions to tweak or scrap a design. So if you like the C3V, please sign up to test units as they are announced in the Public Playtesting thread.

***SoV***

Also, this past year the SoV got up and running and have approved three fan-created cards to the Soldiers of Valhalla, with many more being reviewed.

Book of Zombie Hulk

Book of Zettian Infantry

Book of Tyrian the Kyrie Warrior

The SoV did run into a glitch though, we found out that testing units for every possibility is more time consuming that testing a map. So we are in the middle of restructuring and hope some new blood and more judges can get the SoV running at a higher clip. If you are interested there is still time to get in an application:

Big News!!

The Soldiers of Valhalla program is looking to expand its membership. Anyone interested in serving as a judge, please PM ZBeeblebrox with (A) a short paragraph describing why you feel you would make an excellent SoV Judge and (B) 1-2 written reviews--including votes--on current units in review for the Soldiers of Valhalla. Please send your PM by January 30th.
**Michigan Heroscape**

Finally, even Michigan is getting involved in Fanscape this year, thanks to a cool Tournament director .

Michigan Fanscape Spring Skirmish - March 10, 2012

Each round after the first all Armies will be placed on a table and we will draft a new army to use and there will be 8 C3V themed armies added to the table to add Fanscape flavor to the draft choices. You cannot pick the same army twice during the day, so there should be ample time to take a test drive with some Wave 14 figures.

Well, I’m hoping to make updates to my blog this year monthly and more Fanscape and Michigan Heroscape information will be coming.

Cheers,
Zbeeblebrox.

C3V is off to a great start. Looking forward to what ollie has panned. Hopefully you can get the playtesters you need and new judges for SoV. Best of luck. Your next tourney is going to be a blast.
That is crazy, what occurred with Omegacron. Any idea what happened?

My guess is that since Troll and Toad was selling them at 99 cents each; that gamers from all genres probably jumped at that price. At that price you can use them as a custom, parts for a custom project or as blown-up mechs for terrain, or any other ideas you can think of.

Plus we waited until after play-testing to release the sculpt information, and since Omega went through three revisions...that took a while. Now we release sculpt info after ERB review, which is when the ERB stamps a sculpt/design as "Operational".
