Well met!

The final playtest of Kha before submission to the SoV will occur on May 16. There will be 3 games, with 3 separate drafts from 3 separate sets of 16 cards (all containing Kha, of course). Report to follow.

Map.
All games will be played on Mad Wookiee's
Sirocco.

The Power Glyphs will be replaced by Treasure Glyphs from the following pool:

Permanent Treasure Glyphs:

  • Brooch of Shielding (Disengage): This figure is never attacked when leaving an engagement. (Wave 12)
  • Giant Hunter Stone (+1 VS large or huge): This figure rolls an additional die when attacking or defending against large or huge figures. (Wave 13)
  • Heroic Rune (Attack +1): This figure adds 1 additional attack die when making a normal attack. (BftU)
  • Talisman of Defense (Defense +1): This figure adds 1 additional defense die when defending. (BftU)

Temporary Treasure Glyphs:
  • Belt of Giant Strength (Attack +2): This figure may use this belt before rolling attack dice for a normal attack against an adjacent figure. This figure adds 2 additional dice when attacking with a normal attack this turn. (Wave 12)
  • Bracers of Teleportation (Teleportation): This figure may use these bracers before moving. Instead of moving normally, you may place this figure on any same-level space(s) within 10 spaces of its current location. If this figure is engaged when it starts to teleport, it will not take any leaving engagement attacks.
  • Cloak of Invisibility (Invisibility): This figure may use this cloak at any point during its turn. This figure has no visible Hit Zones until the end of the current round or until it attacks with a normal or special attack, whichever comes first. This figure will never take any leaving engagement attacks while invisible. (Wave 12)
  • Elixir of Speed (Move +4): This figure may drink this elixir before moving. This figure adds four to its move value this turn. (Wave 11)
  • Potion of Healing (Heal 3 wounds): This figure may drink this potion after revealing an order marker on its Army Card. Remove up to 3 wound markers from that figure's Army Card. (BftU)
  • Ring of Protection (Defense +3): This figure may use this ring after an opponent has rolled attack dice for a normal or special attack against it, and before rolling defense dice. When rolling defense against that attack, this figure adds 3 additional dice. (Wave 11)
  • Scarab of Invulnerability (Ignore Wounds): This figure may use this scarab whenever it receives one or more wounds. Roll the 20-sided die. If you roll a 1-15, ignore one of the wounds just received. If you roll a 16 or higher, ignore all wounds just received. (Wave 13)
  • Whetstone of Venom (Poison): This figure may use this whetstone before rolling attack die for a normal attack against adjacent figures. If this attack inflicts at least 1 wound you may add 2 additional wound markers to that figure’s Army Card.(Wave 11)

Format.
Each game will last for 10 Rounds. The team with the most points (partial card scoring) after 10 Rounds wins. 4 players will play in teams of 2 vs. 2. Before each match, players will perform a snake draft.

Snake Draft.
It's a draft where the positions flip flop every round. For example, if someone drafts first during the very first round, they'll draft last the following round, then they'll draft first again in the next round, and so on.

Note: Each player may draft only one Card from each Tier,

As each player, in turn, chooses an Army Card, he will take the figure or figures shown on the card and place them in his start zone immediately, before the next player selects an Army Card. Common Squad Cards will contain exactly 2 full squads. The 16 Cards available for each game are displayed below.

Figures on the Way!

Well met!

Just ordered figures for Kha, Locksley, and Brigands. Hoping they arrive in time . . .

Although the Brigand is not in this playtest, if I can attend Islandscape, he may appear.

Thanks, chas!

Well met!

Just a note of thanks to chas, without whom none of this would be possible. Not only is he supplying the place, but also the map, all the cards for the games, and all the figures (proxies for most).

Again, thanks chas!

I may have to ask about stealing that Quick Draw power.
That is gold.
