SoV Special!

In order to clarify exactly what these hard working people do in the Soldiers of Valhalla project we decided to interview their lead judges.

First off I would like to thank Killometer and the rest of the Soldiers of Valhalla team for taking the time to sit down with us and discuss what they do over at the Soldiers of Valhalla project.

Chardar: The Soldiers of Valhalla project is the most rigorous of all of the custom testing projects. What inspired you to create and work on such a massive undertaking?

1Mmirg: With the end of official units, we felt like it would be a great service to sift through the many customs available and find those that really shine, really add the most to the game, and that are fully compatible with all current Scape figures.

We also wanted...

I Have Dreamed . . .

Well met!

Heroscape is what you make of it. There are RPG variants. There are Massivescape variants, such as the one chas is currently working on. Each of us plays for a different reason, although many of us share elements of each other's vision. Although we have ways of playing that we favor, there is no "right way" to play Heroscape. There are plenty of wrong ones, of course. Cheating, rudeness, eating the last donut, etc., are just a few.

And then there is my way. [Cue orchestra . . . "And, now, the end is . . ." ]

Most of you are aware by now of my idiosyncrasies, the Valhalla Society being the most prominent. My brother was schizophrenic, as was my favorite aunt. I am just fine, however, as you can see from my latest contribution to the GenCon 2011 Main Event Competitive Armies discussion.

Tenting Tonight

TENTING TONIGHT

“We are tenting tonight on the old camp ground,
Give us a song to cheer”
--Tenting On The Old Camp Ground, traditional Civil War song

“I love to go a-wandering, along the mountain track
And as I go I love to sing, my knapsack on my back!”
--Sing along song, Robin Hood Day Camp, early Sixties

As a boy I’d attended summer day camp, but not sleep away camp. The first time I actually went camping over night was at the end of high school, when a pal loaded up a huge family tent and all kinds of camping equipment, and we drove off for a couple of weeks in the summer to upstate New York to go car camping. Now I love nature, but being a City boy have no field craft or outdoor skills whatsoever. We came to the conclusion one that first trip one evening that High School was basically a Prisoner of War camp for teenagers—to keep them off the streets and away from decent folk everywhere. But I had a good time, and later...

For reference my old belt system worked as follows.

White-yellow-green stripe-Green-blue stripe-blue-red stripe-red-black stripe-black, and then nine degrees of black belt.

Well I have been out of Martial Arts for almost two years now, having practiced Tae-Kwon-Do for 4 years and reaching the rank of Blue Belt. After the economy crashed my old school was forced to close, leaving me and a lot of others out on streets. After that I sort of fell out of it.

I had been researching some other schools in the area, and had planned on visiting one last weekend. I ended up spending the day with the nasty cold, so that didn't pan out.

I got to visit the school today, and spent a good three hours trying out the different lessons that they offer. I was very impressed with

They are Gone!

Posted January 25th, 2011 at 12:15 PM by MegaSilver
I have some wonderful news everyone!

As of today, all milking cows on my family's farm have been sold! We are only left with dry cows, for a short time.

Soon, my dad will be switching over to beef cattle, and raising soy beans to make money. He will also be buying and selling tractors on a regular basis.

No more milking cows two hours every morning, then again at evening!

I'll still be working on the farm of course, but now I have more free time for HS and other things.
