Goin' In Whole Hog

Well met!

I recently broke down and bought the Heroes of Paizum, my first "new" 'scape, not counting some recent purchases of some classic units, and they figured, along with others' Wave 15 units, prominently in the Gang's most recent gathering.

How can I say this? - I'm in.

"Fortunately, the quality of the C3V units released thus far has been pretty high. I am also hopeful that -

Quoting myself from elsewhere:

Redundant Systems seems far better than 4 life, and the same mechanic under different names should lead to a unique squad renaissance.

Take the Kozuke Samurai, and give them Samurai Armor that operated like Redundant Systems, call them what you will. Even 1 point would make a huge difference.

- given the focus on unique squad development in these Army Boxes, the C3V team will 'make my dreams come true.'"

Reflecting on our last gathering and the reading of others' experience/analysis, I have had an epiphany of faith in C3V. That (and the new knowledge that I can tap into my 401(k) now, rather than waiting until I am 65) has caused me to purchase one each of the Ram and Wolfen Army Boxes, making the following existing and future units available to me:

Spoiler Alert!

Although I had a moment of misgiving:

"Now I am afraid that I have acted prematurely. If the figures I bought (Ram and Wolfen Army Boxes) become rare/unavailable between now and when their Wave is created, will they have been purchased in vain? (Of course, if they become that rare, I can trade them for lots of cash to buy Heroscape.) And not too afraid, as some of the Ram have already been released, and the Wolfen seem pretty far along already. As trust in C3V quality rises (as it must, seeing as how they have created consistently high quality units thus far), and more Heroscapers buy in, a pattern of becoming rare during release and/or pre-release could cause production to go up. I'm rapidly talking myself down here.

Seems like a pretty good investment."

Anyways, I'm looking forward with renewed interest to the upcoming Waves, and participating in the growing acceptance of C3V by the Community.

Figures Received, But . . .

Well met!

Received my Ram and Wolfen Boxes OK. Opening the Ram Box, I discovered that the display Black Thrall's sword hand (with sword) was broken off. I hope my Krazy Glue repair holds!

Yeah, in my Ram Army Box a couple figures had come off their bases. After applying some super glue I've not had any more problems.

Now Available . . .

Well met!

Just picked up the following from Auggies:

Unhallowed #11 Vampire Hunter - Van Nessing

Desert of Desolation #56 Snaketongue Cultist - Haduc

Giants of Legend #35 Lizardfolk Rogue - Zogross Hardscale

My appreciation for these guys has grown with experience, but I assumed that, like Omegacron, they'd be rare and/or expensive. My bad! Van Nessing should compliment my Werewolf Lord/Wolves of Badru army nicely, while Zogross, completing my collection of "canonic" Warlords, does the same for my Romans. I do not own any Aubrien Archers, but do have all the rest of the "canonic" Elves, and look forward to exercising some Elven Supremacy!

That is awesome kola!

Actually Omegacron is more of an exception to the "rarity" of C3V figures. We work diligently trying to find affordable figures that are in supply. Sometime figures disappear between Sculpt announcement and Army Card release...that is why we have this:
