Character Bio - When Wolverine was trying to protect ex-agent Charlemagne from vengeful KGB operatives, Spider-Man also assists. Charlie believes her life will be over either way, and instead of being tortured to death by the KGB, she asks Wolverine to kill her. Spider-Man can't morally allow that, so he battles Wolverine. Charlie takes this moment to sneak up on Spider-Man, causing him to lash out and accidentally, believing it was Wolverine, kill her with his super strength, just as she intended. Wracked with guilt, even though it was what she wanted, he returns home to Mary Jane.

On Earth 8351, instead of returning home, this world's Peter Parker is convinced by Wolverine to stay and help rescue Charlie's sister, Alex, another agent in trouble. Believe this would be a way to atone for his mistakes, he agrees. Peter, Wolverine, and their handler Nebo rescue Alex, and Peter stays longer to make sure she is safe, and to hunt down other KGB agents. Learning lethal tactics, he becomes known as "Assassin Spider-Man," and even hones his spider-sense to essentially be a form of future sight. Otto Octavius as the Superior Spider-Man eventually recruits him into his Spider-Army to battle the Inheritors, hand picking him specifically for his ruthlessness.

SWING LINE 4
Instead of his normal move, Spider-Man may move up to 4 spaces with Swing Line. When moving with Swing Line, Spider-Man has the Flying special power, but may not move up or down more than 40 levels in a single swing, and will not take any leaving engagement attacks.

YK expressed interest in dropping his targeting immunity for the figure turn, which makes him a bit weaker against multi-attackers that can move. I liked it to help against squads. But really either way is fine with me.

I like the can’t be targeted bit. Design seems solid to me overall.

Efficient Assassin is brutal, but those "1 life left" occasions are rare enough that it's not worrisome.

OP should probably list him as Spider-Man (Assassin) like in the thread title.

His L/D are pretty squishy, so I'd let him stay untargetable, yeah.

I'd probably go Agent before Operative. Commando could also work though, presuming the GIJoe folks are fine with it.

I always saw Agents/Operative as good/bad respectively on our designs so he should probably be an Agent or Commando. I think Commando is a cool option and I like having a Spider-Man I can play in any army I want. He's one of the most prolific superheroes across media at this point so a ton of crossover synergy is cool while also building a Spider faction.

Yeah that's my thought. He'll be in the middle of the action too to maximize his potential rolls, so might get shot up pretty quick. Got the Title.

Bullet Points Spidey will be an Agent, so just trying to mix 'em up a bit. Also he was specifically at odds with Fury for a time, and Agent would make him best friends with Fury. Also still not sure the C3G plans for Operative, but the literal definition feels better to me than Agent or Commando. But YK said Commando is fine, so I'm cool with that too. I'm not terribly worried either way.

Operative doesn't scan as "bad Agent" to me. I see "Spy" as having that role.

He's not bad on an absolute scale, just relative to normal Peter. Bad guy synergies aren't really something we're after here.

Operative is more something we have down on the government-run superteams so it feels a little off to me here.
