Glad I alerted you guys to that rule. My buddy didn't know it either the other day during the frozen shards scenario.

I will concede that SS should land to hold a glyph, and would then be subject to terrain rules. Otherwise, though, I think Craig and the team probably read the "true flying" rules in the Codex magazine (and now in the downloads section of this site) and decided to give the fans what they want, as they have in the past with zombies and the like. SS would be the pefect candidate to implement these rules with as he doesn't have wings and, therefore, doesn't ever need to land. Pure speculation on my part, I know, but I'm gonna run with it.

Versatility Incarnate

Worth every point

A skirmisher to whittle down enemies with range 9 or less?

High movement stealth flyer to grab objectives?

Capable of an above average attack?

What about his second ability? Where you can make someone skip a turn? I actualy have had a problem with this one, as you can't have an unrevealed token by the time the attacking occurs, right? Or am I completely misinterpreting something? As I see it: I reveal #1 and move, you so the same and so on, then I go back to #1 and attack, then your #1 and so on. Right?

You've got it a bit twisted.

Player 1 reveals his first order marker. That player then moves the unit with that order marker. After moving, that player then attacks, if possible. Play then moves to player 2 who reveals, moves and attacks. play continues thus until all players have revealed their first order marker. Then player 1 reveals his second order marker, moves, then attacks and so on.

So how Surfer's special attack works, then, is Surfer reveals his Turn Marker, moves if he wants to, targets someone for his special attack - if he wounds that figure at least once and there are any unrevealed Turn Markers on *that* (the targeted) figure, Surfer can take one of the unrevealed Turn Markers off.

C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Silver Surfer suprised me, becoming my favorite character from the Marvel set. Taking a turn with Silver Surfer you have so many options for what you can do. I hope they put out many more similar characters!

He may take a marker off IF he rolls a 16 or higher.

And about removing the unrevealed turn marker -- if I roll 16 or higher and get to take one off, does that marker get turned over/around and revealed for what it is? Or does the player who is losing the marker get to keep it a secret? Obviously knowing what the marker is that's being removed would be big information to have when planning the rest of the round.

In the spirit of doing what the card says and not doing what it doesn't say, I'm inclined to lean towards removing the marker but not revealing it. However, I wanted to see what everyone else thinks.

Usually when I play the Surfer, the marker I remove is an X, and the other player reveals it immediately to taunt me.

I'm okay with it remaining a secret, though.

I'd say not reveal the order marker.
Also, he has quite the good sculpt. Silver men on Flying Surfboards are awesome. In addition, he is pretty powerful. There's so much you can do in one turn with him!
