Recap: Pretty standard and balanced game. Spidey kept trying to web sling Hit-Girl but her autoshield made it tough. Near the end he grabbed her, rolled 4 skulls, and with her single defense she rolled a skull. So I used the FIghting Chance to reroll, and she got a shield! So that and the autoshield allowed her to survive just barely. Then she and Batman finished Spidey since he rolled pretty poor on his senses this game. That was basically the best case scenario for this card and it still was just 2 wounds away from being an even game, so pretty cool.

Who won? List figures remaining in the winning army (include life remaining for heroes): Hit-Girl with 2 wounds, Batman with 2 wounds.

Recap: Never used the one-shot here. I did have the option of using it before Blob fell, might have saved his life, but I decided to keep it for Cap who was the last figure standing. But then the Androids just autowounded him to death. Vader’s March was useful in getting Trickster and Blob up quicker, but Trickster never hit any rolls, and Blob got shredded by 17’s SA. Vader himself put a few wounds on 18, but she retaliated by breaking his arm, which also prevented him from force choking properly, and then he took a 4 skull attack to the face so the one-shot wouldn’t have helped him.

THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: Definitely useful, I’ll obviously always grab it if I have the points leftover, but it’s definitely not a make or break thing. Only works on attacks, and only a single defense die. It felt really good saving Hit-Girl, but I think more often than not you’ll get overkilled and it won’t work, or you won’t roll a shield. It definitely has more use with figures like Nightwing or Luke Cage, but also those figures didn’t have any easy odd point additions, making them at a ten point deficit instead anyway. Magic Defense figures could utilize it well, too, but I think I’d struggle grabbing this over a spell. All in all I think its good.
