NERAK repaint with weapon swap

Here's my Nerak, I wanted to take a break from my Grimnak repaint, as the scales on him will be a ton of work..so I wanted to paint something fast and easy!

Whenever I paint a "boss" figure that is the same sculpt as a common, I always want the figure to instantly look different/better, and not just be a different color. Easiest way to do it is to upgrade the weapon. So you'll notice he is carrying a bada$$ mace!

Also, I filled gaps on the kitty with greenstuff, and added details like pupils, pink inside of ears and just basically picked out and highlighted all the details of the sculpt. Unfortunately, the head sculpt on Nerak is a mess (especially the mouth) and I did my best there to make it look like he had teeth/fangs sculpted in. Anther sculpt disappointment was the feet, almost no detail, again, I did what I could, hope you enjoy!

This looks amazing! I love how he looks, did you repaint a nerak figure or took a swog rider and started from scratch??

Also, do you have a page where you explained how you painted your glaciers??

This is the real Nerak figure I repainted, not a Swog rider, they go for about the same price so I figured I'd use the real deal

Glaciers were easy, I just took the D&D stone pieces, primed them white, then painted them entirely a very light blue, then overbrushed with white mixed with a tad of grey, then drybrushed with bright white. Took maybe 20 minutes of actual painting time to do the whole set.

Please tell me this is a "second edition" Nerak and not the GenCon exclusive...
