Sweet thanks! Yeah Asia has a lot more firepower than Domon, but no defensive abilities, so they kind of even out a little bit (Even though Asia is a 100 points more).

Happy he's fun, that's the biggest thing. If he's still hot in the next tests we can raise his points or something again.

Unit Summary: I failed to use the Gundam healing on Flash effectively here. Master Asia and the Shining Gundam were a strong combo that easily could’ve prevailed with a bit more help from their allies or a swing or two in end game.

The doubling up on defensive subtraction between the Shining Gundam and Master Asia helped to reliably wound Enchantress once it got going, then Shining Finger finished her off early. Sharpened Jacks got plenty of rolls, but wasn’t effective here. Executioner hit the Shining Gundam for a big 5 wound attack early, right before Enchantress fell. After she fell, he finished the Gundam off. Master Asia switched to his normal attack from height (thanks to Flash) on Executioner and whaled on him. Flash kept Adhesive Trap from triggering and Master Asia finished off a poor rolling Executioner. Zemo shoots down Trickster from height. Master Asia smacks Zemo for two wounds and Zemo can’t hit back but Radioactive Man gets two wounds on Master Asia from range. After a lot of back and forth the Zemo and Radioactive Man finally finishes Master Asia, but not without getting pretty wounded. Masters of Evil then win initiative and wipe out Flash before he can respond, then Atom before he can activate.

Outsiders move up fast, with initiative. So does Master Asia in the Shining Gundam and he uses his special attack to wound Katana and toss her back onto water. He defeats Katana from range to finish the round. Next round Wonder Woman uses a Justice Marker and Shining Gundam starts out on height pounding Geo-Force for a 6 skull attack. Geo-Force and Metamorpho go all in on the Gundam and hit it with 6 wounds. Shining Gundam finishes Geo-Force but can’t get a wound on Metamorpho in order to use Shining Finger. Black Lightning punches out the Gundam and puts 3 overflow wounds on Master Asia. Metamorpho fails to finish Master Asia. Master Asia tosses Black Lightning onto lava field with 1 wound from Master Cloth, then hits Metamorpho with an unblockable. Black Lightning takes a second wound from the lava. Wonder Woman uses her last Justice Marker and Master Asia finishes Black Lightning. Metamorpho finally punches out Master Asia. In end game, Outsiders Batman and Metamorpho quickly take down JL Batman. Then Wonder Woman punches Outsiders Batman but takes 4 wounds back from Metamorpho. She survives to the next round where she can use one of Batman’s Justice Markers. Outsiders win a big initiative and pummel her, though.

Unit Summary: Used Asia as a strong master of evil, taking advantage of the reposition abilities and strong normal attack to get through the big defense numbers that turtles have. Very effective at tanking the damage.
Game Summary

Early - Spread out my small team pushing the Mech towards the right side of the board, and Deashot towards the left. I kept one OM to activate the Mech and then two on Zemo to have activation flexibility. The turtles went pretty aggressive on Turtle Power. Rapheal went on the road to challenge the Mech while the rest of the turtles took high ground in the center of the board.

Mid - Deadshot through a couple of shots into the center of the board which didn't yield much but the Mech was able to consistently push through Raph's defense. Instead of Raph falling, the once per game splinter power went off and the turtles circled around to the side of the board where Deadshot was. Deadshot avoided wounds and circled around the the center of the board with Zemo. Gundam finished off Raph and then followed suite. The turtles held the center of the board pretty well and started using their multiple activations to push through and get some clean damage on figures other than the mech.

Late - Final part of the game shaped up with Zemo and Deadshot going down and the Mech holding out against 3 figures for a couple of turns (donny, leo, splinter). The mech was able to use unblockables and the special attack effectively. Shining finger got rid of splinter and Leo went down to unblockables building up. Donny found himself alone after the mech finally went down but he couldn't deal with Master Asia.

Unit Summary: Game where I was able to control the pacing pretty well with a mobile flying unit and the Mech got an opportunity to move adjacent to invisible woman. Mech went down on a surprise whiff but Master Asia himself held out very well.

Early - Moved Ironman out to the center early to try and throw down attacks on the approaching fantastic four, got a couple early wounds on Reed and then had to fall back because F4 got a full family activation. Iron man moved to the side of the board near my start zone and the Mech took height in the middle of the board while I left black panther in the start zone for backup. Ironman played keep away with Torch who kept running up to engage him while the Mech used defense reducing powers and the reposition on the special attack to move threats away.

Mid - Reed went down rather early but I received the same in kind with Torch taking down iron man pretty promptly right after. The mech moved over to engage Sue and whiffed a normal attack. The thing moved over and was boosted by a wounded human torch to wail on the mech a couple of times. Master Asia popped out of the mech and finished off Sue storm before moving away. The thing and human torch tried to box him in on the road at the edge of the board but Asia was able to finish off torch before Thing did much. Shining Finger whiffed in this match while trying to finish off torch Sue storm.

Late - Asia used his ability to maneuver after a special attack to get some distance and take high ground on the center of the board. Whenever Thing got close he got repositioned and hit with an unblockable before he could engage. The reposition put him on the side of the board in the water where a space of water made him walk all the way around. Master Asia finished off Thing after taking a few wounds himself.

UNIT SUMMARY: Awesome offensive power on this unit and pretty tanky with the boosted stats that Asia gives. I think the strongest part of the build is the ability to reposition slower moving melee units on maps that have water or terrain that requires them to take the long way around. Definitely beatable and prone to whiffs but feels like a good amount of action economy for the investment of points here. Enjoyed playing it, even whiffing Shining Finger didn't feel too horrible because I was consistently putting out unblockables and throwing around a big normal attack. The ability to reduce defense with a d20 and then automatically reduce defense with a special attack was pretty helpful in getting wounds through on heavily defended targets.

From Splash:

Master Asia is definitely a fearsome opponent. The first matchup was bad for the TMNT since Zemo got to trash turns, so I don't think it was in the cards anyway. I think the combo in the Shining Gundam just has too much offensive output against most teams, 2nd game FF had a harder time and Thing got some whoppers in. The potential for -4 defense is scary, but rare enough. The Death by Shing Finger has already been tested for. I think the power lies in Master Asia's last ability getting a constant -2 and moving figures about, both in and out of mech. After taking out his mech you still have him to fight and the damage die add up.

Just based off these games, the main thing is I think his last SA should be once per round, reducing the placement and defense reduction potency. I might also suggest he be costed at 300-320, either instead of that or if he's real strong anyway.

I don't think a slight cost bump would hurt him any (he felt strong enough in my two losses with him). But I don't think he's OP or anything either.

So his win ratio is 4-5 which is solid. These last two wins weren't blowouts or anything, and sounds like the map was half of the issue with the water placement, which is an issue for any thrower really. Sounds like one of the most potent comboes is the vulcan defense breaker and master cloth, so my plan is to limit the Shining's power to only work on normal attacks. Since that's Domon's suit, and he doesn't have any special attacks, it makes sense anyway. So that combo will be nerfed and should be good going forward.

All that said, he'll get more testing with his personal Gundam which is up next for me, so he'll have more eyes on him either way. I wouldn't be surprised if there's another tweak or two to get him to mesh well with Master Gundam.
